Youtube Partnership Question
Sean & 12X Team — Looking for Advice on a Parsun Partnership I've been negotiating with Parsun Outboards about a six-month technical education and U.S. market development partnership. My original proposal was $1,750/month. Parsun is interested, but their U.S. operation isn't established enough to make cash payments. Instead, they've offered an F115 outboard motor in exchange for 12 videos over six months, including a complete engine teardown. My concern is that a full teardown requires substantial labor, and there is currently no established U.S. dealer network for parts, warranty, or service support. So when i sell the motor I will be responsible I'm considering countering with six technical education videos over six months, focusing on maintenance systems, serviceability, and how the engine works, in exchange for ownership of the F115. Sean, how would you approach this negotiation while protecting OutboardDad's value and keeping the door open for a long-term paid relationship? I feel it will continue to build our relationship as well as i will gain detailed knowledge of their motors for future training and opportunities. I'd appreciate everyone's perspective and would love to discuss this during Monday night's 12X session.
Learning Negotiation
Here is what I am being asked for from Marine Diagnostic Company: Hey Keith, hope you're doing well. OK so a few things The owner of the company and I think I've told you about some of the complications there he has decided to stay in a CEO for another year which means tell me the things we were going to be able to do we now have to add another step of approvals unnecessarily so In the discussion we had about you just this week when she green it before, but then he was asking more questions cause we're doing strategic planning for next year. He wanted to know if you had any sales numbers we could refer to for a company and sell kits you sold or got your credit for via affiliate. How many views you get on average kind of like just those stats on your content so that way we can calculate what we should get as an ROI from it a little more granularly than one
Trusting God In the Process
As the business moves forward I need to be sure I keep my trust in God and not in my own abilities or rely only on my experience and knowledge. Today was another great meeting and agreement that I hope will finalize soon. It’s all in Gods hands
Learned something Simple
In our session last night Sean said just because they are not set up for payments yet does not mean they cannot pay you. Put that wisdom into Chat and created an email back to my contact. Here is his response: Hi Keith, Thank you for the explanantion. However until our US branch and US corporate bank account is finalised, we can not make any payouts. But we are definetly interested in your proposal. Could you please send me a more detailed proposal that indicates what kind of service you can provide at which rate? That way I can present it to the boss and see if we can allocate some budget on it. Best,
Builders Class
What a great class tonight! Took your advice Sean and asked questions to the Parsun company. Rico is my contact and he had 4 others in the meeting as well. I asked most of the questions, and ultimately they want more videos more views and their biggest issue is they need dealers in the US and have only 2 possibilities right now. One in Florida and the other in California. They did ask if I wanted a dealership and i said i am more on the training side because when i asked what some obstacles were they said they will need to train new dealers. i let them know that i was an instructor for Fujitsu and they knew the company. Basically the direction I got in tonights meeting has positioned me for success here and I greatly appreciate it!
