Before we explore Reiki, we first need a foundation for understanding the living human body. The Biology of Being Alive introduces the cells, systems, energy requirements, and physiological processes that make life possible. This foundation gives us a shared language for the courses that follow. As we move forward, we’ll explore Reiki alongside the body’s naturally occurring physiological processes—asking where the science is established, where evidence is emerging, and where thoughtful questions still remain. The course was intentionally designed to be approachable and easy to move through. Most chapters are only about a 3–4 minute read, so you can learn in small pieces and move at your own pace. As you go, take a moment to explore the illustrations accompanying each chapter. They were created to help make the biology visual and easier to understand.
