Try It! - Here's a Filter
Here's a filter you can run any potential partner through in the next 10 minutes, before you say yes to one more thing.
Ask three questions about them:
1. Do we actually share the same values, not just a nice mission statement?
2. Is this a partner already connected to our community, the one our employees actually live and work in?
3. Do they want a relationship with us, or just a donation?
If you can't answer yes to at least two of those, it's probably not your partner, even if it's a good cause.
Run this filter on the partner you're currently spending the most time or money on. Tell me what you found out.
