🍬 Getting Ready for Tomorrow's Sing & Serve
One of the questions I get asked all the time is: "What does it take to put together a Sing & Serve event?" The answer? It starts with serving long before the first song is ever played. Tonight I'm putting together bags of candy filled with Reese's, Kit Kats, Twix, Milky Ways, Three Musketeers, and other treats that we'll hand out tomorrow. They're simple little bags... But they're a reminder that people matter. Tomorrow we'll sing. We'll laugh. We'll dance. We'll tell stories. We'll make memories. And hopefully, everyone we meet will leave knowing they were seen, appreciated, and loved. 🎥 Watch the Behind-the-Scenes Video (Paste your YouTube link here.) What You'll Learn Inside This Community This community isn't about becoming a professional singer. It's about learning how to serve others through music, encouragement, and genuine human connection. Over the coming weeks and months, I'll be sharing lessons like: - Building a simple, affordable Sing & Serve setup - Choosing songs that connect with seniors - Finding your first senior community to serve - Working with activity directors - Overcoming fear and shyness - Creating unforgettable experiences - Recruiting friends and volunteers - Building a local Sing & Serve team - Growing from one visit into a lifelong mission Whether you're a great singer or someone who only sings in the shower... You don't have to sing to make a difference. You just have to be willing to show up. I'm excited you're here, and I hope you'll join me as we build something that brings more joy to communities everywhere. If this post inspired you, introduce yourself in the comments. Tell us: - Where are you from? - Have you ever volunteered at a senior community? - What's one way you'd like to make a difference where you live? Let's encourage one another and grow this mission together. Welcome to Sing & Serve.

🌱 Quick Update
Just wanted to give you all a quick update on what’s been going on. I’ve been working on lining up some new Sing and Serve opportunities, talking with different places and seeing where we can bring this next. That part is coming along, and I’m excited about what’s ahead. At the same time, I’ve really been focusing on getting the YouTube channel set up so we can start sharing more of this journey and hopefully reach more people who feel called to do something like this. 👉 You can check it out here:https://www.youtube.com/@SingNServe One thing I’m going to start doing is heading out into the streets with some simple equipment and doing live, outdoor karaoke sessions — just to see who shows up, who joins in, and to invite others into what we’re building. The goal is simple:get people involved, get people smiling, and show that this is something anyone can do. I’ll be sharing those videos soon, and I’m excited to see where it goes. If you’ve ever thought about doing something like this in your own city… this is your sign. 💛 More to come soon. 🎤🌱
My First Cold Calls to Nursing Homes—Wish Me Luck! 🎤❤️
So... I'm actually calling places this week—first one tomorrow. Nervous, but hey, last gig someone cried during "My Way" and it was... actually kinda beautiful. No singing required here. We're just figuring out how to show up, smile, and maybe play a song or two. First real lesson drops Saturday: "How to make a killer playlist for folks who love Sinatra and hate tech." Stick around—I'll post updates, tips, maybe even a raw clip from whatever happens. If you're in (or just curious), hit "join" and say hi. We're building this together. —Adam

🌱 Sing and Serve – Round Two at StoryPoint
Yesterday was our second Sing and Serve at StoryPoint, and once again, it reminded me why this mission matters. There’s something powerful about walking into a room, setting up simple equipment, and watching music turn into connection. Smiles. Laughter. Participation. Moments that feel bigger than just a song. I put together a short video from the day so you can see what it looked like behind the scenes. And here’s something important:You don’t have to sing to be part of this. You can serve in so many ways: - Bake cupcakes or cookies - Bring flowers - Make small handmade gifts - Write cards - Simply show up and talk with someone - Help set up or support the event This is about bringing smiles to those who feel forgotten — through music and simple acts of kindness. If this resonates with you, please share Sing and Serve with friends and family who might feel called to do something meaningful like this. The more awareness we spread, the more lives we can touch. One song. One smile. One act of kindness at a time. 💛

🌱 Sing and Serve – Round Two at StoryPoint
🌱 The Beginning
I want to start this community in the simplest way possible. Sing and Serve exists because I believe singing can be a form of service. Not performance. Not perfection. Just presence. I’m starting this because I’m doing it myself — singing in public spaces, care centers, and places where music can bring comfort and connection. I don’t have all the answers. I’m learning as I go, and I wanted a place to walk that journey with others who feel drawn to the same thing. There’s no pressure here. - No requirement to sing. - No requirement to post. - No expectation to record or share publicly. Some of us will sing out loud. Some of us will sing quietly. Some of us are just finding the courage to begin. All of that belongs here. If you feel comfortable, you’re welcome to introduce yourself in the comments — or just say what drew you here. And if you’d rather just read and listen for now, that’s completely okay too. I’m grateful you’re here at the beginning.Let’s take this one song, one moment, one act of service at a time. 💛
