What are your thoughts on this repairable phone that’s just been released in the US?
https://www.wired.com/story/you-can-finally-buy-a-fairphone-a-sustainable-repairable-smartphone-in-the-us/ I just read this article and thought it was pretty cool. I hope all phones are built like this in the future! Even if it puts us out of a job 😂

One for the “don’t throw it away just yet” category… 😄
The plug on my hot tub decided to let out the magic smoke. Rather than binning both the plug and the hot tub, I thought I’d have a go at fixing it. I replaced the wall plug, rewired the hot tub plug (my first time doing one of these), and learned how to use a wiring crimper in the process. Had to buy the tool from Amazon, but it’s a nice addition to my toolbox for future repairs. I’m pleased to say it’s been working perfectly ever since. Always satisfying when a repair saves something from ending up in landfill and teaches you a new skill at the same time. What’s a repair you’ve tackled that looked intimidating at first but turned out to be well worth learning? This was mine! 🤞

Fixing my grandparent’s old cassette player
I love to pick up older stuff and repair it. Stuff like this seems to be much easier to repair than modern stuff. Have you ever heard of the artist on the tape that was inside it before?
