Don’t Translate Every Word
Do you translate every English sentence into your first language?
That can actually make listening and speaking harder.
Instead, try asking yourself:
👉 “Do I understand the main idea?”
You don’t need to understand every word.
For example:
“Unfortunately, the meeting has been postponed until Thursday.”
Even if you don’t know unfortunately or postponed, you might understand:
➡️ meeting
➡️ Thursday
➡️ schedule changed
That may be enough!
