👀 You train your brain to read. But what about your eyes?
Reading is also a physical skill. Your eyes constantly perform tiny movements called saccades, jumping from one part of a sentence to the next. And just like other skills, some aspects of eye movement can be trained. Here are 3 simple exercises you can try: 1. Horizontal saccades ↔️ Place two targets a comfortable distance apart and alternate your gaze between them without moving your head. 2. Near → Far Focus 🎯 Look at something close to you, then switch to an object farther away. Repeat slowly for a few minutes. 3. Reading Pacing 📖 Use your finger or a pointer to guide your eyes across the lines while gradually increasing the pace without sacrificing comprehension. These will help you become more comfortable and efficient at using your eyes while reading. Try it for a week already and notice the changes!

👁️ 3 Nutrients Your Eyes Love
We talk a lot about training our brain to read faster… but don't forget the tool doing most of the work: your eyes. Here are 3 nutrients worth having in your diet: 🥕 Vitamin A Essential for normal vision, especially in low-light conditions. Think eggs, dairy, carrots and sweet potatoes. 🥬 Lutein + Zeaxanthin These nutrients accumulate in the retina, where they help filter certain wavelengths of blue light and provide antioxidant protection. Great sources include spinach, kale and egg yolks. 🐟 Omega-3s (especially DHA) DHA is an important structural component of the retina. Fatty fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel are great sources. You can train your reading skills all you want but take care of the hardware too. 👀 Which one do you already get plenty of?
