Your Routine Still Has Purpose
What if the routine you are returning to has more purpose than you realize? Dr. Charles Stanley once said: “God has a purpose and a plan for your life. There’s no such thing as an unimportant person on the face of this earth.” That is a good reminder when we are getting back into work, school, family responsibilities, or the normal rhythm of life. Sometimes routine can feel ordinary. But ordinary does not mean meaningless. The work in front of you matters. The people you influence matter. The way you show up matters. You may not see the full picture right now, especially in a hard season, but that does not mean your life has lost its purpose. Maybe today is not about doing everything perfectly. Maybe it is simply about returning to what is in front of you with a little more hope, gratitude, and intention. What is one part of your routine that you can approach with fresh purpose this week? #HardSeasons #Encouragement #Purpose #Faith #KeepMovingForward

Your Routine Still Has Purpose
A Day Off Is an Opportunity to Reconnect
I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Days off from work are important for rest, but I think they can also remind us to reconnect with the people who matter most. Our regular routines can become filled with work, deadlines, responsibilities, errands, and the next thing on the calendar. A holiday gives us an opportunity to interrupt that routine for a little while and intentionally focus on family, friends, and community. Have a meal together. Visit someone. Go outside. Call a friend you have not talked with recently. Play with your kids. Sit around and laugh. Sometimes the most meaningful part of a holiday is simply being present with people we care about. Work and productivity certainly have their place, but they are not the entirety of a meaningful life. The relationships we build and the memories we make matter too. As we return to our normal routines after Labor Day, I hope we carry a little of that perspective with us: make time for the people who make life meaningful—not only on holidays, but throughout the year. ❤️ #Family #Friendship #Community #LaborDayWeekend #IntentionalLiving #MakingMemories #QualityTime #Gratitude

A Day Off Is an Opportunity to Reconnect
Celebrate the Good, Even in a Hard Season
Hard seasons can consume so much of our attention that we sometimes forget something important: life is still happening around us, and there are still moments worth celebrating. Today is my wife’s birthday, and it reminds me how grateful I am for her, for my family, and for the memories we continue to make together. When life feels difficult, celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, an accomplishment, or even a small family moment does not mean we are ignoring our problems. It means we are refusing to allow those problems to become the only thing we see. There can still be laughter in a hard season. There can still be gratitude. There can still be birthdays, dinners together, hugs, pictures, conversations, and memories we will treasure years from now. Whatever you are carrying today, do not let the hard things make you overlook the good things. Take a moment to recognize something positive in your life. Celebrate it. Thank God for it. Be present for it. The hard season deserves our attention, but it does not deserve to take away every reason we have to smile. ❤️ What is something good in your life that you can celebrate or be thankful for today? #HardSeasons #Gratitude #CelebrateTheGood #FamilyMemories #MakeRoomForJoy

Do Not Let Responsibility Steal Your Joy
I recently came across these pictures of Annabelle and Jace from their school. Jace was a tiger, which fits his energetic personality pretty well! 🐯 Annabelle was a bunny, which seems equally appropriate for her curious and imaginative spirit. 🐰 But what I love most is seeing them hug. Being a father comes with tremendous responsibility, and some days are exhausting. *Yet these pictures remind me that responsibility and joy can exist at the same time. That is also important during hard seasons. We can become so focused on what needs to be fixed, accomplished, or survived that we overlook the good happening right in front of us. You do not have to wait until life gets easier to experience joy. *My challenge today: Notice one good moment in the middle of your responsibilities and actually allow yourself to enjoy it. What brought you some joy this week? #HardSeasons #ChooseJoy #StillSpeakingStillStanding (Asterisks added to emphasize key points)
