What is Street Therapy? I Present My Manifesto
Street Therapy is a sanctuaryโ€”a space where imagination takes form, where self-discovery unfolds, and where healing is not just possible but inevitable. It is not bound by walls or institutions; it exists wherever the journey inward begins. The focus is not on external circumstances but on the individualโ€”on transformation, on becoming whole despite the chaos of the world. Street Therapy is a place where knowledge is absorbed in a way that traditional spaces of education often fail to provide. It is a movement, a philosophy, a way of being that allows individuals to open their minds and hearts in ways most never get the chance to. Here, healing is not prescribedโ€”it is expressed. Through creativity, conversation, and community, we illuminate the unspoken and embrace the unseen. Our mission is to help individuals uncover the missing parts of themselvesโ€”the fragments that were never truly lost but simply buried beneath pain, addiction, and societal expectations. We do not seek to change who you are; we seek to reunite you with your truest self, shadows and all. There is no judgment here, only reflection. No condemnation, only understanding. Every action, every word, and every moment within Street Therapy is an opportunity for self-knowledge and growth. We are not defined by where we have been, but by where we are going. And in this space, we walk that path together. Forward is inevitable! Move in Stride!

Street Therapy's Holistic Code of Ethics
Introduction This Code of Ethics represents the spiritual, emotional, and community-based foundation in which Street Therapy was built upon. It draws inspiration from various universal holistic principles as well as the Twelve Principles of Recovery. With purpose, these codes integrate mental health, spirituality, and self-expression into a fluid approach to healing, self-transformation and various forms of rehabilitation and recovery. 1. Honesty & Authenticity We commit to honest self-reflection and truthful communicationโ€”both with ourselves and within the community. Vulnerability is seen as strength. We acknowledge that healing is a journey, not a destination. 2. Faith & Openness We cultivate openness to a higher power (as each individual understands it) and to unseen energies, spiritual dimensions, and mystical aspects of recovery. We hold space for diverse beliefs and respect all healing paths. 3. Surrender to Support We recognize that true healing cannot occur in isolation. We rely on the collective support of mentors, spiritual guides, and community members. We surrender the illusion of self-reliance and open ourselves to connection and guidance. 4. Soul-Searching & Inventory We commit to continual inner workโ€”evaluating our actions, beliefs, and wounds with honesty and compassion. Tools such as meditation, journaling, and ritual reflection allow us to integrate lessons and uncover suppressed truths. 5. Admitting & Accountability We take responsibility for our past actions, mistakes, and harms done. Through truth-telling and self-awareness, we seek accountability and practice restorative healing with humility and courage. 6. Acceptance & Willingness to Change We embrace our imperfections as opportunities for growth. We stay willing to evolve, to let go of limiting patterns, and to transform through love, discipline, and conscious action. 7. Humility & Service We remember that humility is strength. Through service to othersโ€”volunteering, teaching, or simply showing compassionโ€”we honor the divine reciprocity of healing. Service connects us to our shared humanity.

The "Name" of a Pathway!
I am a Scorpio! โ™ I am a fixed sign! โœ… I am a sign of depth and transformation! ๐Ÿ’š (...and that's the DEEP stuff! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…) The biggest reason I call myself a street therapist and what that genuinely means is that I want to help people navigate the streets of their own lives. One could say that I am an internal street guide...because that's the main purpose behind the work I do. All of us (yes, myself included) have these pathways within us that make up various aspects of our outer worlds and as much of a spiritual person as I am, I understand that the world is made up not just through our own eyes, but also of those eyes in which we can't see through. I don't know what the world is like through your eyes nor like you know exactly what the world is like through mine...but that doesn't mean we don't share the same world (because honestly...we actually do! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’š) One thing I know we can see together (somewhat different in circumstances, but in sight nonetheless) is the name of a "street" we might share. Now understand that when I say a "street", I mean a specific pathway in your life that we can name. As I'm writing this post, I'm going down my "work avenue" at the moment...so as to say that I'm currently paving a way to solidify this "avenue" in my life. One could also say that I'm working on "Skool Street" at the moment since this is the platform I'm posting this on. To example elsething, at the beginning of this post, I mentioned that I was a Scorpio... and that's going to be an avenue that I'll be travelling down this lifetime with little "detoured boulevards" of transformation. So you see what I did there? ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š But I tell you all this, just to show you this! I remember when I was much younger that (I believe in a social studies class when I was in middle) roads were given different names based on certain aspects and settings of the roads. For instance, we know that avenues are known to be long stretches of roads that are normally across a city and boulevards are relatively shorter roadways, but the setting around a boulevard are possibly attractions and/or businesses surrounding the streetway. I found a small article that explains what each type of road is named for and what they entail.

Own Your Crazy!
Let me preface this by saying that Life is beautiful! There are things in life that we prefer and there are things in life that we could go without. There are places in life that we would love to find ourselves in and there are situations we find ourselves that we absolutely DO NOT like. We find ourselves in downward spirals as we are going perpetually up. The streets we decide to travel and go down are going to have turbulence that we wouldn't ever consider, but there's a reward worth obtaining once we endure that turbulence. Once we've travelled far enough down the street, we can sometimes turn around and realize that we were not the same person we were when we started going down those streets. For some, this is something we already know was going to happen. For others, we were absolutely flabbergasted at the contrast of the people we were at the beginning of the street verses the people we become down that particular street. Either way, somewhere along the way, we found something absolutely CRAZY about our journey and the transformations of it. Take for instance going to school. For those that want to go to school and are looking forward to the experience, they may have a pretense and notion about what their school journey is going to be like. Whether elementary school, high school, college, university or otherwise; future students may have an idea of what the life avenue of their school is going to be like. They have an idea of what their social within school is going to be like. They have an idea of some of the classes they may be taking or the educators that may be teaching them. They may have an idea of kind of curriculum or electives they may take and/or major in. And they most definitely will have an idea of what the end of the school experience is going to be like and what their life will look like once they've "mastered" the avenue of 'school' in their life. But somewhere down the line, students are going to look back and realize one of two things (if not both): they've done and been through some pretty crazy things in their lives and they've had to become some rather crazy ass people (pardon the french, but it's just the best way for me to get this point across ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…). Moreover, students have probably never thought that they would ever become certain types of people because their sense of being that person to them was crazy.
