Hi everyone!
I’m one of the co-founders of Dakota Subaru Experts. Tanner is the one you’ll usually see working on the cars day to day, but I’m behind a lot of what goes on in the background. I help build out the business, the systems, and now this community. This is something we’ve wanted to create for a while. We get calls and messages from people all over asking for help with their Subarus, and there’s only so much time in a day to get back to everyone one on one. So instead of turning people away, we wanted to build a place where people can come in, ask questions, learn how to diagnose things the right way, and not feel like they’re just guessing or throwing money at problems. The goal with this is to make it more than just a group. We want it to actually be useful. Somewhere you can learn, get better over time, and feel confident working on your car. I’ll be in here helping keep things organized, improving things as we go, and making sure you’re getting the most out of being here. If you haven’t already, go introduce yourself in General Discussion. I’d love to see what you’re working on.

Hi everyone!
Hi 2010 subaru outback with rpm problems
hello i have a 2010 subaru outback with some rpm problems. When i come to a full stop the rpms drop and the car shakes after that it recovers. But the feeling is that it will stall.I have changed spark plugs maf map sensors the valve also clened the throttle body. It also looses oil at around 3000 miles. The catalys converter is gone as a mechanic advised me to take it out also the 02 sensor is disconnected after that the car is consuming around 15 to 20 liters per 100km which i think is quite a lot. The car dosent give any errors. Earlyer when that problem was a minor thing it was happening when i drove long distences and it gave an error p0171 or p0172 and the mechanics from subaru told me not to use the cruise control. Also it stalled twice on me an year ago once while i was parking and i was shifting between D and R the rpm droped and it stalled. Before that i was at a stop i exelarated so i can go but the car was not excelerating properly so i just pressed the brake and it stalled while i was driving after these two incidents nothing major. But these two stalls led to me changing everything i listed. One thing i noticed is that while the car is cold everything is fine but once it goes to normal working tempretures it starts to stall. The mechanics at my local subaru shop were telling me that the piston rings are the problems but the car is at 94000 miles they took it for a drive and told me my transmission is going. So that lead me to not trusting them cause they didnt actually knew what was wrong with it and i am serching for a solution the car is running but i just dont trust it to go long distences.
AVCS issue or knock sensor problem?
Hello people :) i have a 2006 SUBARU legacy, 2.0i gasoline and LPG, approx 260xxx km (167k miles), located in RO, Europe. The engine started to lose torque before 2500 - 3500RPM, randomly. At higher RPM it seems to be working fine. It's gotten so bad that i feel like begging the car to just go. :) No error codes. Here's the weird part. Using TORQUE app from android and a cheap OBD BT dongle, after i clear errors (even if there is none), the engine suddenly behaves as it should, until i go above 3000RPM. Then back to no low-end torque. It happens regardless of the engine running on gasoline or LPG. Also scanned using a VAG cable and FreeSSM. No errors. What i did so far: Using RomRiader and some AI magic, i was able to pull some data out. Please see pics. Did the idle relearn procedure, multiple times, no change. Replaced the PCV valve, no change. Please help? :)
