It's Wednesday and one of my favorite events of the week happens today... SOCIAL HOUR!! Okay so it's also the Q&A but I just love this hour where we all get together and chat, catch up on the happs and laugh.
No rules and no recording - come for 5 minutes or stay for the hour - totally up to you.

Let's chat about purpose for a minute - shall we?
We all created a Substack (or are thinking about creating one) for some reason - whether to simply have a place to explore and write (I know when I first started out that's what I used it for) or it's a place to organize our empire (which is how I use it now) for a reason.
What is the reason for your Substack now?
Have you given it some thought?
I ask this because I think that it makes a difference in how to approach growing your Substack.
If you're using it to organize your empire, I believe your first steps need to be to sort what you've got going on.
Some organizational piles might include:
What are you selling
Who are you selling to
What are you personally interested in
How much time do you have to invest in marketing
Are you introverted or extroverted (how much time can you spend with people whether in community or in video/conversation)
How do you like to create long form content?
I was having a short conversation in the DMs with
@Vinayak Ramesh yesterday about selling stuff and creating a client journey. There are lots of ways to do this - but a very simple exercise to do while you're sorting your "goings on" is to take a piece of paper (oh yeah this is going to be old school - go grab your pen and paper or your journal or your art supplies) ...
draw a line on it.
Put a dot on the left of the line (where it starts) and write exactly where your ideal client is when they first know they need your solution to their problem - write down all the things they are struggling with, what are they feeling, what do they hate, what do they long for.
Put a dot on the far right end of the line and write down exactly what result your ideal client will experience when working with you. Be sure to write down how they will feel, how life will look for them when they reach the goal line.
now put dots along the path (for substack that could be 4 dots)
The second dot from the left should be something that is a gateway solution to bring your ideal client (a subscriber is a client) further into your world after getting a small win. This is in exchange for an email address.
The third, fourth and fifth dots are benefits/wins they will realize by becoming a paid subscriber - these can also be resources you would normally sell (if you don't have anything to sell them - check out the #🚀 Welcome to the Mini Offer Creation Engine - Premium members get full access to this and the other tools in the classroom for the same price as just the offer engine) and the fifth dots is the "founding" member "offer" and should be something more personal - consider a consult - a call - a short 1:1 coaching session.
Every offer should (yes, I said should - well it's better than "must" which is the other word I was contemplating including here 🤣) include a link to the next offer - all known as a call to action. People need directions on how to progress along your client journey pathNow as you look at your client journey on your piece of paper (yes, you may decorate this and @Evelyn Beatrice Bourne you could stitch it) envision people joining you on this adventure. Use this as you setup your Substack, or your Skool community or just for clarity in your own mind - this will seriously help you when it comes to keeping you from being pulled off track. Keep it somewhere where you can see it often.
Feel free to share a picture of it once you're done as you post your links today.

Tomorrow is the mastermind where we will be hearing from Lidia Axe of the Community Builders HQ on Skool will be sharing strategies for getting your first 100 community members. Join us at 2pm mtn - and yes there will be a replay of this - but as always joining live allows you the opportunity to ask questions. 🐦🔥🐘🍁🪻🦚🪻🍁🐘🐦🔥
Post your links to notes, chats, lives & articles for boosting here - we'll like, comment & restack them where appropriate.
The thing is though - you don't need viral notes - what you do need is volume - post 3 times a day (you can schedule them ahead of time) but don't just drop notes and think that's enough - you MUST interact with other note writers over on Substack - follow people and like through your feed comment on notes others are creating (not just in this community either)
Substack Notes is a HUGE networking event - if you look at it from that perspective it will change everything.
