I am a Danish detector archaeologist who wants to recreate some of the things we find with a metal detector. Is there a method to dilute the clay so that you can make a liquid cold cast and then heat it up with a gas burner or perhaps in a microwave kiln?

From July, I’ll be opening up my kilns so you can send your dried clay pieces to me for firing 🔥 This is perfect if you want to try bronze, brass, or copper clay but don’t have a kiln yet. Simply send your fully dried pieces carefully wrapped for protection, and I’ll fire them either to your specifications or the manufacturer’s recommendations. I think base metal jewellery is becoming more and more popular, but kilns are a huge investment when starting out. Hopefully this gives more makers the chance to experiment, grow their profits, and eventually invest in their own setup later on ✨ What do you think, Would you use this service?
