Here, we focus on learning to play the piano through the lens of pop and rock & roll music, which is the way I learned. Courses will focus on learning to play chords and chord progressions commonly used in popular music.
The great thing about learning this way? It turns out that many, many, many songs -- not just in the pop and rock genres -- use the same chords and progressions. Oftentimes, learning one song is very similar to learning a completely different song! In a way, the more you learn, the easier learning becomes.
