The cheapest plumbing company in town is never the biggest. Here's why
When you're the cheapest, every job barely covers itself. There's nothing left over to: - Run ads and keep the phone ringing - Hire and train good techs - Pay people well enough that they stay - Give customers the kind of service they tell their friends about So the cheap guy stays stuck. He's working harder every year, competing on price with the next cheap guy, and never building anything bigger than himself. The biggest companies aren't winning because they charge less. They're winning because they charge enough to reinvest: in leads, in sales, and in building a bench of people who can run the work without them. Price is a decision about what kind of company you want to build.
