IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We are fast approaching our first major Green Room benchmark: 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀.

So first of all, congratulations.

If you are already here as one of those founding members, you have 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲, ever!

That includes our masterclasses, live events, Saturday Scene Study sessions, blogs, Actor Resources, everything in the Classroom and, importantly, this community.

Once we reach 200 members, new members joining Tier 1 will pay 𝗨𝗦$𝟵 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵.

𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝟯 — 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 + 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽: US$29/month

For our founding members, we are working on the technical integration so that if you subscribe to Tier 2 or Tier 3, the value of the US$9 Tier 1 membership you already have for life is recognised and will be discounted.

My developer is working on this now.

There is also currently a 𝟭𝟰-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 of The Actors Copilot app, so you are very welcome to try it for yourself. I think it is already up on our website.

I know some actors remain cautious about AI, and frankly, I think caution is healthy. Generic AI can be incredibly broad because it is trying to speak to every actor at once.

That is exactly why we built The Actors Copilot differently.

The tools are interconnected around the actor, the character, the casting brief and the work you are actually doing. But we have always believed that 𝗔𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

We have recently had another actress book a role after making a bold choice in her audition, with casting specifically commenting on that choice. I had a very similar experience on Star City, when the director commented on one of the choices I made in the audition.

That is the point.

The technology should help you dig deeper, prepare better and make stronger choices. 𝗜𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

And that brings me to Claire’s video attached to this post.

Her message is particularly relevant here.

We have already brought some exceptional people into our masterclasses, and the lineup ahead is becoming even stronger, including people we genuinely cannot announce yet and an A-list actor.

Claire and I have spent a combined 𝟳𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 working in this industry. I spent many years as a production designer and studio owner in Cape Town, where we ran Setscapes, with set construction, prop hire and studio facilities. Claire has spent years working at the highest level as a 1st Assistant Director.

Between us, we have worked alongside an extraordinary number of actors, directors, producers, casting professionals and crews.

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

But I also want to say something openly.

Attendance at some of our recent live sessions has been lower than I would have hoped.

I completely understand that everybody has work, families, auditions and lives outside this group. You will not make everything.

But the dates are announced well in advance, and the scene studies, masterclasses and live sessions we are building are not simply content to scroll past.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

We want you asking questions, putting yourself forward, joining the scene studies, coming to the masterclasses and sharing your wins, problems and experiences.

Claire and I can open doors, bring people into the room, share what we have learned and build the tools.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽.

That is why Claire’s message matters.

And there is another part of being a founding member that really matters to us.

Claire and I have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to build this properly, and if you believe in what we are creating, one of the most valuable things you can do is help us grow it.

That support makes a real difference, because the bigger this community becomes, the more opportunity we can create inside it.

We are currently working out the details of an 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, which will give members an opportunity to earn by helping us introduce The Actors Copilot to more actors.

And once we reach the growth target we are working towards, our intention is to create 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 within The Actors Copilot, and we want to look first at people from this community.

We want this to become more than a platform where people simply consume content. We want it to become a genuine ecosystem where people can learn, contribute, connect and, where possible, create opportunities for one another.

And we want your input.

If there is something you would like to see in the Green Room, something you think we should add, change, improve or develop, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀.

Some of the best ideas for what this becomes should come from the people actually using it.
