New Classroom! Why we stopped buying ride-on toys
New classroom is up. The Infento build series now lives in the classroom as a course, oldest video at the top, so you can go through it in order. This one is the short intro. Every plastic ride-on we ever bought got ridden hard for about a month and then sat in the garage. Infento runs the other way. One kit, roughly 890 parts, and you build a bike or a quad or a go-kart out of it. When your kid gets bored of one, you take it apart and build the next thing. The way I put it in the video, think Lego or an erector set that you can actually ride. Fair warning before you start. This is a real build, not something you snap together in twenty minutes. Ours took hours, and I think that turned out to be the best part of it. One honest note on the timeline. Evan broke his collarbone right after we finished the first model, so the series paused for a while. We had already filmed everything, so nothing was lost except our schedule. New Lesson: Making the faceplate move!
Latest lesson: motorizing the helmet, which turned out harder than printing it. Same as the rest, we're getting organized and turning the series into a proper classroom. If you caught this one already, no worries. This is the real, unpolished version of a build. We installed the Walsh 3D Servo Pro kit, wired up a CrashWorks control board, learned heat-set inserts, twisted and soldered our own wires, and zeroed the servos. The faceplate actually moved, which was a huge win. But we also hit real problems: heat-set holes that came out too big, the mask colliding with the servo arms, and wire routing and clearance issues we still need to fix before sanding and paint. That's the honest part of building. You try it, you learn from it, you fix it, and you keep going. LEGO mega builds, STEM kits, 3D printing, home improvement tools, DIY projects, even gaming setups can feel like something only experts do. In reality, once you break things down into smaller steps, watch someone else work through it, or tackle it together as a family or a community, those same projects become very approachable. That has been the whole point of our content from the beginning. Showing families that you do not need prior knowledge to start, you just need curiosity, patience, and a willingness to learn together. We make mistakes. We backtrack. We figure things out as we go. And we talk honestly about what worked and what didn’t. The most important part of this Skool is participation. Evan got his own gun and wanted mine
Evan got his first guns this episode, two TT33 pistols, and inside about a minute he was asking what the difference was between his and mine. Then he got to the real question. If mine is better, can he have it. It is better. Same damage, but the Glock holds eighteen rounds and his holds seven, and I told him that straight instead of pretending they were the same. I still said no, and then I kept explaining the ammo count for a while after he'd stopped caring. He said thank you anyway, which I wasn't expecting right after a no. I don't know if he'd already figured the answer or just decided it wasn't worth pushing. Am I the only one who says no and then explains it for five minutes anyway?

Evan called it clear before I finished checking
We spent a long stretch clearing the police station, going room to room and arguing about whether we'd missed a spawner somewhere, because they kept coming and neither of us could find where from. I was pulling the last of them outside so I could deal with them in the open. I was still checking corners when Evan announced it. There's no more, we cleared the police station. When you're working on something together, does your kid always blurt out the win?
