Welcome to The Handpan Temple
Hello everyone, and thank you for being here. I created this space because I believe music isn't something reserved for musicians. It's something we all carry within us. Whether you already own a handpan or you're simply curious about this beautiful instrument, my hope is that this community becomes a place where you can learn, grow and connect through sound. To begin, I'd love to hear from you: ✨ Where are you joining from? ✨ Have you ever played music before? ✨ What is it about the handpan that called you here? Feel free to introduce yourself below. I'd love to meet each of you. Ale

I wish I knew this when I started 10 years ago 😅🎶
When I first discovered the handpan, I fell straight into the rabbit hole. Scales. Steels.Tunings.Prices.Makers.Note counts.432Hz or 440Hz. It can get confusing very quickly. The funny thing is… the handpan itself is actually one of the most intuitive instruments to begin with. You don’t need years of theory to start making music. But choosing your first one? That’s where most people get overwhelmed. So I created a simple free guide to help beginners understand what actually matters before buying their first handpan... and what they can stop worrying about. Honestly, I wish I had this guide when I started. Less thinking. More listening. 🎹 Can a handpan be a piano?
I think this handpan is having an identity crisis... it thinks it's a piano! 😅 This custom made F Pygmy 19 is the newest addition to the Handpan Temple Signature Series, spanning an incredible 3 octaves from C#3 to C6. It keeps the intuitive, hypnotic feel of the classic F Pygmy, while opening up a whole new world of bass, chords, octaves and melody. I've just released a new Pan of the Month video where I break down the layout, share a few musical ideas, and explain why this has become one of my favourite instruments. 🎥 Watch the video below and let me know what you think! 🎁 Community Gift As a thank you for being part of the Handpan Temple community, I'd love to give you two little gifts: ✅ FREE F Pygmy Chord Chart PDF to help you explore this beautiful tuning. What’s your ritual? 🌹
This one is by far my favourite Setting up the Temple. Laying out the handpans. Preparing the space. Reconnecting with myself. Every month, this little routine helps me clear my mind and step into the role of facilitator: a role that once felt far outside my comfort zone, and took a lot of shedding and trust to grow into. 🌱 Now, watching people sit in a circle, touch the handpan for the first time, and discover their own sound has become one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. 😍 But I’d love to hear from you: What’s one ritual, routine, or small practice that helps you become a better version of yourself? Drop yours in the comments... maybe we can all borrow a little inspiration from each other 🙏
