How to Use the Whispers 💗 Under CLASSROOM Tab 💗
Don't rush these. This isn't another piece of content to consume. It's a practice. Read each Whisper slowly. If a sentence stands out, pause. Read it again. Better yet, say it out loud. Hear your own voice speak the words. If you're comfortable, record yourself reading it and listen back during a walk, before bed, or whenever life feels chaotic. Our minds are constantly pulled in a hundred directions. The practice of slowing down, breathing, and intentionally speaking words of truth gives your nervous system permission to settle. It creates space to think clearly, feel deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters. Don't worry about finishing. Worry about being present. One Whisper, fully absorbed, is more valuable than a hundred read in a hurry. Return to the same Whisper as often as you need. Different seasons of life reveal different meanings. Slow down. Breathe. Listen. The peace you're searching for often begins in the silence you've been avoiding. 🌻 A Note Before You Begin 🌻 These Whispers come from my own journey. I don't claim to have all the answers, and I don't believe there's one perfect path for everyone. This is simply a practice that has changed my life. I've found that when I slow down, read words intentionally, and even speak them aloud, something shifts inside me. The constant rush begins to fade. My breathing slows. My thoughts become clearer. I become more present. I find a deeper sense of peace. So I invite you to try it. Don't skim these. Read them slowly. Pause between sentences. If you're willing, read them out loud. Give yourself permission to be slow. Modern life teaches us to consume more and move faster. These Whispers are an invitation to do the opposite. Take one Whisper. Sit with it. Reflect on it. Return to it. You don't have to believe every word immediately. Just be present with it. This isn't about information. It's about transformation—one intentional moment at a time. Sending love, safety & trust your way💗

Think of your most authentic self 💗
As I sit here in the quiet hours of the night, taking a moment for myself as everyone has settled into bed, I find myself reflecting on the path that has brought me here. I look back at things I wrote years ago and realize they were quietly leading me to this moment. The experiences, the books, the stories I’ve lived, and even the stories I’ve told myself have all shaped the way I see the world. They have shaped my perspective, my lens—and over time, that lens has continued to soften and widen. Today, I’m sharing a Substack post I wrote almost three years ago. Reading it now fills me with gratitude for how much has changed, how much has healed, and how much I continue to learn. It’s also why I keep offering The Listening Well—a space where you can simply arrive as your authentic self. No fixing. No rescuing. No advice unless it’s asked for. Just the quiet gift of being witnessed in all of your humanity and beauty. Thank you for being here and for walking alongside me on this journey. Be well. Breathe deeply. Trust your heart. 🤍 https://open.substack.com/pub/thelisteningwell/p/authentic-you?r=26jvmp&utm_medium=ios

Thanks for being here 💗
Welcome to The Listening Well 🤍 This space isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about showing up—honestly, gently, and in real time. I won’t pretend to have a perfect plan for what will be shared here. What I do know is this: I’m committed to showing up authentically. You’ll find daily reflections, journal-style thoughts, things I’m moving through, things I’m learning, and moments I feel called to share. Some days may be deep. Some may be simple. Some may just be an invitation to pause and listen. This is a space for presence, not performance. So if you’re here, just hang tight… and allow yourself to receive whatever resonates. We’re not rushing. We’re listening. Welcome 🤍
Five Years of Grace 🤍
I love you mom 💗🎃 Today marks five years since my mom had her surgery for breast cancer. I think back to that time and the series of events that led us to Colorado, the timing of it all, and everything that unfolded along the way. Sometimes you don’t realize just how much grace was present in a season of your life until you have the opportunity to look back. Watching my mother go through breast cancer was something I’ll never forget. There are so many things that come with that journey, so many appointments, procedures, uncertainties, and moments of simply taking the next step. I still carry so much gratitude for the care she received in Colorado, for how quickly things moved, for the resources that were available, and for the people who helped her along the way. Today, someone said to me, “You’re a good daughter. You’re a good daughter for being there for your mom.” And those words touched my heart more than I expected. Because when you love someone, you don’t always think about what you’re doing for them. You just want to be there. You want more time, more memories, more ordinary days together. And here we are, five years later. My mom is still here. Still showing up. Still pushing forward through all that life brings her. And I am so proud of her. Proud of her strength, her perseverance, and the mother she continues to be. There is something about witnessing someone you love walk through so much that changes the way you see life. You begin to recognize just how precious it is to still have them here. Today, I’m simply grateful. Grateful for the people who cared for her. Grateful for the timing of things we couldn’t have understood then. Grateful for the grace woven throughout it all. But more than anything, I’m grateful that I still get to call my mom. That I still get to hear her voice. That I still get to have her here. Five years later, and what a gift that is. I love you, Mom. 🤍

Five Years of Grace 🤍
The Grief of Loving People From a Distance
There is a certain kind of grief that comes with loving people who are still alive but who seem to have no real desire to be part of your life. Especially when those people are family. Siblings who shared pieces of your childhood, who came from the same beginnings, who carry memories of a life you once lived together. Yet somewhere along the way, you become strangers who occasionally remind each other that you love one another. I love you. And sometimes that is the entire relationship. No deeper conversations. No curiosity about each other’s lives. No questions about how your heart is doing, what you’ve been experiencing, or who you’ve been becoming. Just love spoken from a distance. And I find myself wondering, what does it mean to love someone you hardly know anymore? Because I want to know them. I want to hear about their lives. I want to understand their experiences, their struggles, their joys. But I also want to feel that someone genuinely wants to know me. Not because I asked them to. Not because I reminded them that I exist. But because somewhere in their day, they thought of me and wondered how I was doing. I think that’s what hurts the most sometimes. Not the absence of love, but the absence of curiosity. And maybe this is something we don’t talk about enough when it comes to families. We assume that because we are related, a relationship will somehow always exist. That the words I love you will be enough to hold together something that hasn’t been nurtured in years. But relationships need more than history. They need presence. They need listening. They need the willingness to see someone beyond the person they used to be. And then there is another kind of sadness that comes when you watch these patterns continue into the next generation. When you see children being spoken to harshly, dismissed, or treated as though their feelings don’t matter, and you wonder whether those same children will someday grow into adults who no longer want to come home.
