Trying to sell my first website
Hey I'm new to Skool, I figured out the way to learn is to drop a post. I'm lost. If you want to help without reading much just read case study 2. HONESTY 100% EXPECTED. Current status: - 0 websites sold - 2 local businesses contacted - 2 demos built specifically for them - Also running a separate automated hostess portfolio business with my girlfriend CASE 1: Pizzeria, guy that trains with me I built them a website demo. They liked it but said they're in their first year and don't have the money for €150 + €20/month. They also told me not many people know the business yet. Question: Would you... 1. Fight the objection and explain why the website could help them get discovered? 2. Give it away for free in exchange for a testimonial/case study? 3. Walk away and find a better prospect? CASE 2: Cold outreach I found a new pizzeria locally and contacted them with a personalized demo. They liked it and asked: - What does the website include? - Do they need new photos? - How much does it cost? I replied with a quick message saying that I will add new photos, described the content of the website and quoted €500 + €25/month. They said they'd discuss it and get back to me. Questions: - Should I have sent a proper offer/proposal (get doc ready)? - Should I have tried to get them on a call? - Is €500 reasonable for a first client? - How would you follow up? ACQUISITION I'm currently doing ~30 cold messages/day for another business I run. For local businesses, would you: - Cold DM/email/call? - Build personalized demos first? - Create an offer and prospect without building anything? - Run ads? - Something else? LEGAL (Spain) If I close a €500 website + recurring maintenance: - Should I already have a contract ready? - Would you handle invoicing/payment via Stripe? - Would you register as frellancer immediately (start paying quota), or wait until there's evidence of recurring demand? GOAL My goal right now isn't to build a huge agency. I just want to get my first client and learn the sales process properly.
📢 Mentorship Is Officially Open
I know a lot of you learn best with someone in your corner — not just courses and videos. That's why I'm opening up 1-on-1 mentorship with 4-month, 8-month, 12-month, and lifetime options. Here's what it is: I help you close your first 10 clients on your agency account and get you to $3-4K/month in recurring revenue from retainers alone. What you get working with me: ✅ Direct access to me 2-3x per week ✅ My exact system — no guessing, no trial and error ✅ Live help closing meetings with prospects ✅ Cold call prospecting together ✅ Ads built and running for your agency I built this because I watched too many people waste time, money, and energy testing things just to figure out what works. You don't need to do that. I already did. This is a paid mentorship — I only work with serious people ready to invest in their business. If that's you, comment MENTOR and I'll personally reach out to set up a call and see if it's a fit. Let's get you your first 10 clients. 🤝

The AI marketing workflow that actually replaced a part of my job
Everyone's using AI to write posts faster. Fine, but that's not where the time actually goes. Here's the exact chain I have running right now: 1. Someone fills out a form on my site 2. It automatically pulls their LinkedIn profile and summarizes who they are and what they likely need 3. It drafts a personalized first message referencing something specific from their profile, not a generic template 4. It schedules that message to go out the next morning, so it never sits in a "to-do later" pile I don't touch steps 1-4. I just review and send. The part people miss: this isn't content automation, it's response automation. Nobody cares if your caption took 3 minutes or 30 to write. They care whether you actually reply to them, and how fast. That's the workflow that's saved me the most real hours, not the one that writes prettier posts. Anyone else automating the reply, not just the content?
Before pitching a website, diagnose the lost customer path
New web designers often lead with pages, design, or software. A local business owner usually cares about where inquiries are being lost. A useful first-client audit can stay simple: 1. Search the business on mobile. 2. Check whether the offer is clear in five seconds. 3. Try to call, book, or request a quote. 4. Record each point where trust or momentum drops. 5. Present one priority fix and the business result it supports. Actually, the website becomes easier to sell when the conversation is about missed calls, weak quote requests, or confusing booking, not a prettier homepage. Which part of the customer path is hardest for you to diagnose?
