Dogs have changed!
Actually...
Maybe dogs haven't changed nearly as much as their world has.
We bred dogs to work.
To herd.
To hunt.
To guard.
To retrieve.
To solve problems alongside us.
Then we brought them into our modern world and said...
"Here's the couch. Please don't bark at the Amazon driver." 😂
Meanwhile, they're surrounded by traffic, screens, busy households, strange dogs, delivery people, noises, isolation, overstimulation—and often very little opportunity to do what they were bred to do.
And when they struggle?
We tend to add more commands.
Sit. Stay. Leave it. Quiet.
But today's dogs need more than obedience.
They need help learning how to navigate the world we've created for them.
They need structure.
They need appropriate outlets.
They need emotional regulation.
They need communication we both understand.
And yes—they still need training.
