DLP Policy Template Workbook
Hey all, I recently added a section in the DLP part of the classroom for a workbook with all of my DLP standard templates. The workbook contains: -DLP Templates by workload (Email, Files, Endpoint, AI, etc.) -The concept I created called "Protection Packs" which bundles the DLP policies by dataset/business outcomes -Discovery Questions you can use with customers -Accessibility by license. The key here is that I try to name and position these in a way that allows you to describe business outcomes with customers. DLP is one of the hardest things to rollout in any company in my opinion. What have your DLP projects been going like lately? What other content would you like to see?

Microsoft Retirement of SMS MFA
Hey all, Many of you may have seen the announcement from Microsoft about deprecating SMS MFA. There are a couple of pieces I think that many are missing: 1. Even if your users don't use SMS as their primary method, if your authentication methods policy allows SMS, they will still be nudged to set up a passkey starting Sep 1. 2. If you have SSPR set up and users leverage SMS, it could also create disruptions I wrote a whole blog to fill you in but we are also hosting a webinar you can attend next week. (Link on the calendar page.) Entra is Killing SMS and Voice MFA (What to Do Now) How are you guys managing this?

Set up Claude SSO with Entra
One of the best, first things you can do to secure Claude in an organization is to set up a business account and then getting it connected for SSO with Entra ID. This not only gates access controls, but it also restricts users from creating personal accounts with their work email. NOT TO MENTION, it is then tied into your conditional access policies for heighted security and potentially dynamic restrictions based on user risk. How are you securing Claude today?
Disable Capture voice notes in the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app
Microsoft is introducing a Record option in the Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app in late August (Late July for Frontier customers). We're looking to test disabling this function with the Intune App Configuration policy by setting "com.microsoft.office.officemobile.Dictation.IsAllowed = false" Has anyone tested this policy out yet? I'm part of Frontier but the Microsoft Message Center post MC1437679 states that the functionality will be located "Record is available from the plus (+) menu in the Copilot Chat prompt box alongside attachment options such as photos and files." I haven't seen the Record functionality yet to test out the policy, in Copilot I have the microphone icon for transcription and another icon to speak to Copilot. My concern is that the configuration syntax makes me question whether the policy will disable dictation across the mobile Office Suite and I was wondering if anyone has been able to confirm whether they have received Record yet, whether the policy blocks it, and whether the Office suite continues to permit dictation.
