Something powerful is coming… 💜 For years, you’ve gotten fragments of my story through my work, my testimonies, my victories, my ministry, and the pieces I’ve felt led to share along the way. You’ve seen the therapist. The traumatologist. The author. The minister. The woman who survived. But you haven’t heard the whole journey. Now, as I approach my 58th birthday, I feel that it’s time. I want to share my journey to wholeness. For most of my life, I knew how to survive. What I didn’t always know was how much the wounds of my childhood were still influencing the woman I had become; my identity, my relationships, my choices, what I tolerated, and even what I believed about myself. Eventually, I discovered that surviving trauma and healing from trauma are two very different things. And I HEALED. 🙌🏾 Not because my past changed. Not because everything that happened suddenly became okay. But because my past no longer had permission to dictate my present or determine my future. So, for the first time, I’m opening parts of my personal story that I’ve carried for decades. Starting August 24th, I invite you to join me for THE ROAD TO WHOLENESS ~58 Days of Healing. For 58 days, leading up to my 58th birthday, I’m going to take you beyond my credentials, beyond the clinical knowledge, and beyond the title of The Traumatologist. I’m going to introduce you to Tami. The little girl who struggled with her identity. The daughter of a pastor and his mistress. The child who witnessed alcoholism and domestic violence. The little girl who knew what it felt like to be hidden, rejected, and not fully claimed. The woman who carried those wounds into adulthood and watched them show up in relationships, marriages, decisions, and patterns she didn’t yet understand. And finally… the woman who healed. Along the way, I won’t just tell you what happened to me. We’re going to talk about what trauma does to us and what healing can do FOR us. There will be real stories. Trauma-informed insight.
