I'd rather leave a meetup with three genuine relationships than 30 business cards. That's exactly what I want Connection Meetups to be about. You won't walk into a room and be expected to shake as many hands as possible, give your elevator pitch 20 times, or collect a stack of business cards you'll never look at again. Instead, expect real conversations. You'll have time to actually learn who people are, what they're working on, what they need help with, and where there might be a genuine connection. The goal isn't to meet EVERYONE. The goal is to meet the RIGHT people. And most importantly, the connection shouldn't end when the meetup does. I want people leaving knowing exactly who they want to follow up with and actually continuing those conversations afterward. Maybe it leads to a friendship. Maybe a referral. Maybe a collaboration. Maybe an opportunity neither of you saw coming. Or maybe you simply meet someone worth knowing. That's a successful meetup to me. Three real relationships > 30 business cards. Every single time.
