Placing at the State Fair
Hi all. A few weeks ago I placed first in our county-wide talent contest which earned me the opportunity to compete in the state competition. Well, that started today (Fri., 8/28/28) at the NYS Fair. Today was the first of 5 preliminaries. There are 58 contestants in the MAXI division (ages 13 and up) and a bunch more in the MINI division (12 and under). Anyway, I had the privilege of being the very first act of the entire contest. If I do say so myself, it went great! I have to do the same routine as I did at the county fair and I had the same responses. The audience was eating it up and even the judges were laughing. One was laughing so hard she had to put her pen down to wipe her eyes. Anyway, I made the cut and I'm going to the Semi-finals next Friday. Same routine, hopefully the same results.
