Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing amazing!! I haven't been very active here this summer and there are two reasons why? One is because I had to stay in the hospital for a while and couldn't even do vent but now I'm back and with more energy than before, and A REALLY BIG SECOND REASON!! Many people here know that I'm a ventriloquist, but not a lot of people know that I've been studying puppetry for 2-3 years so far in a puppetry School in my hometown and I've been also studying and working professionally creating props for 5 years. Last year I created my first gigantic Puppet, which was 3 metres tall (about 9.8 feet high) for the most important local parade in my city, and this summer I was asked to create Shrek's Dragon for "Shrek The Musical", but not the small scale version that has been used in other professional productions lately...they wanted THE BROADWAY VERSION, which is the dragon but just from the lowest part of the neck to the head, IN A MASSIVE SCALE!! The Hospital Staff told me I couldn't be around a lot of people, and since nobody from the company knew anything about gigantic puppets, I just told them which materials to buy so they could send it to my house! And I've been building it on my own! It's not finished yet though, but I'm just very excited and wanted to share with you this personal side that I don't usually talk about! It's about 4 metres tall (13.1 feet high), It is 100% detachable, made with wood, PVC, foam rubber, yoga mats, sackcloth, accessory cord, several pulleys (or sheaves), elastic bands, polystyrene, latex, and yesterday I created an electric circuit with LED for the eyes and it works!! The dragon moves the mouth and the head a lot, and the eyes are transparent balls with an electric circuit of LEDs on the inside so they can shine in the dark. I still haven't painted anything. My main goal right now is to make sure everything works for the last rehearsals, which will take place in the following two weeks and in my free time I'll paint it. I'm also the director of the puppeteers, so I've also been organizing all the technical parts for puppeteers, technicians and actors and actresses. For now I'm just putting everything together and covering the entire structure of the head, so it can be taken to the theater in a few days!! I'm uploading some pictures of the process!!! I'll show you how It is when it's done!! I'm just very excited right now!! A lot of important people have been confirmed to attend to the premiere (including some of my childhood idols)!!! I also wanted to know your opinions or feedback of my work (please, note that it's not finished yet 😅😅...and the colors of the eyes are going to be programmes in the theater, so they're not going to look like that...that was just me trying them for the first time 🤣🤣🤣) !! So this is the main reason why I haven't been very active in this community lately...I spent some time in the hospital, and from the minute I arrived to my house, I've been designing and building this on my own (my family members want to kill me right now...but they're used to me doing all these crazy things 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣)!!
