Introducing: The Vizzy D Resource Library 📚
I've been wanting to build this for a while, and it's finally here. The *Vizzy D Resource Library* is a shared space of books, podcasts, documentaries, readings, newsletters and accounts that have shaped how we think about death, grief and ceremony, built by this community, for this community. You can find it in the Classroom tab. It's not a list I've put together alone. It's meant to grow with whatever's actually shaping your practice right now, the book that changed how you show up with a family, the podcast episode you've sent to three colleagues, the poem you keep coming back to for readings. Inside you'll find a growing library of: 📖 Books 🎧 Podcasts 🎥 Documentaries & Films 🕊️ Poems & Readings ✍️ Newsletters & Substacks 🌐 Organisations & Websites 🎓 Courses & trainings 🎵 Playlists Comment below with all your suggestions! Just include what it is, who it's by, and one honest line on why it stuck with you. We're not after exhaustive lists here, we're after the things that actually changed how you think or work. This is one of those small, ongoing things I hope becomes genuinely useful over time. Curious to see what this community pulls together... Only love, Amy 🐦‍⬛

Social Media: Let’s all find each other out there 🐦‍⬛
Death care content can feel like shouting into the void sometimes - especially in the early days, especially on platforms that don’t always love what we talk about. So let’s make it a little less lonely… Drop your handles below - Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, wherever you’re showing up - and let’s go find each other. Follow, engage, share what moves you. This is how we build something together. 🐦‍⬛ I’ll go first: Insta - https://www.instagram.com/amyfirthministry TT - https://www.tiktok.com/@aussiedeathcarelady Facebook - www.facebook.com/amyfirthmusic The Visible Death Worker: https://www.instagram.com/visibledeathworker https://www.tiktok.com/@visibledeathworker Amy x

Imposter Syndrome
Even after working as a funeral director for 16 years, and a death doula for 3, when I hear a perspective client's story for the first time, I STILL freeze for a moment and wonder "what is it I do again?" Can anyone else relate? What do you do to regain your confidence?

Memorial advice
Hi everyone I’ve been booked to take my first memorial. The person requested a direct cremation and now the family are planning to celebrate his life next month. While I have created and led many funeral ceremonies I have yet to lead a memorial. I feel comfortable with the overall process but am wondering how you end the service. I often use a blessing before the farewell / committal - would this be a fitting end? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance Beth
