The Rules Have Changed: Are We Still Playing by the Old Rules?
I've been reflecting on Chapter 1 of The Business of the 21st Century by Robert Kiyosaki, titled “The Rules Have Changed,” and it got me thinking about how we approach wealth building, especially in real estate. For a long time, many of us were taught to follow a familiar path: get a job, earn a paycheck, save what you can, and hope it will be enough for the future. But today's world has made me think differently. I started to realize that relying on one source of income could limit my options. I wanted more flexibility, more control over my financial future, and the ability to pursue opportunities without depending entirely on a single paycheck. That mindset pushed me to start building multiple streams of income before getting deeper into real estate. I'm grateful to God that I took that step early because the experience and cash flow from those businesses have helped support my real estate journey. One lesson I've taken from this book is that building wealth isn't just about working harder to earn more money. It's also about learning how money works, developing business skills, and creating systems that can open up more opportunities. Of course, there isn't one path that works for everyone. Some investors build wealth through real estate alone, while others combine property investing with businesses or other income streams. What matters is understanding your options and being intentional about the future you're building. Now, I'd love to hear from this community. Let's learn from each other! 1. Do you believe the traditional path of relying on one job or income source is still enough to build long-term wealth today? Why or why not? 2. If you could change one thing about how you currently earn money, what would it be? 3. For those already investing in real estate, has another income stream helped you fund deals, manage risk, or create more flexibility? 4. If you're just starting out, what's the biggest thing holding you back from building another source of income?

Are We Building Wealth Through Real Estate, or Just Building Ourselves Another Job? Let's Talk!
I've been reflecting on some of the ideas in Robert Kiyosaki's book, The Business of the 21st Century, and one lesson really stood out to me: There's a difference between earning income and building assets and systems that can generate income over time. As real estate investors, many of us are working hard to find deals, secure funding, manage properties, and grow our businesses. But have we ever stopped to ask ourselves whether we're building a business that gives us more freedom or one that requires more of our time every day? Here are three ideas worth thinking about: Financial education matters. The more we understand money, business, and investing, the better equipped we are to make informed decisions. Systems create opportunities to scale. Building repeatable processes can help us grow without personally handling every task. Multiple income streams can create flexibility. Having other sources of income may help provide additional capital and reduce dependence on a single source, although each opportunity comes with its own risks. Personally, I believe that developing multiple income streams before and alongside real estate can make the journey easier by creating more options, flexibility, and potential investment capital. But I know everyone here has a different journey, and that's why I'd love to hear your perspective. Let's open up the discussion! 1. When you started in real estate, was your main goal to make more money, build long-term wealth, or gain more freedom? 2. Do you believe a real estate investor should focus entirely on property, or build other income streams alongside it? Why? 3. What's one system, skill, or financial lesson that has helped you move forward in your journey? There are no wrong answers. Whether you're just starting out, working toward your first deal, or managing multiple properties, your perspective could help someone else take their next step. Let's share ideas, learn from one another, and grow together. Sometimes, the right conversation can open the door to a new opportunity. 👇

What Can Real Estate Investors Learn from The Business of the 21st Century? Let's Discuss!
One lesson that stood out to me from Robert Kiyosaki’s The Business of the 21st Century is the importance of building systems and income streams instead of relying on just one source of income. As real estate investors, we understand that building wealth takes time, patience, knowledge, and consistent action. But what if we could strengthen our real estate journey by building other income streams and learning how to make our businesses work more efficiently? Here are a few lessons worth thinking about: Build assets, not just income. Focus on opportunities that can contribute to long-term wealth. Build systems, not just a job for yourself. The goal is to create processes that allow your business to grow without requiring you to handle every single task. Never stop learning. Sales, leadership, financial education, and networking can all help us become better investors. 🤝 Learn from others. Sometimes, a conversation with someone who has already faced the challenges we're dealing with can save us time and help us see new opportunities. Personally, I believe that building multiple income streams before getting deeper into real estate can provide more flexibility, additional capital, and greater confidence along the way. But I'm curious to hear from this community because we all have different experiences and perspectives. Let's open up the discussion! 1. What's the biggest lesson you've learned about building wealth through real estate? 2. Do you believe real estate investors should build other income streams alongside their property business, or focus on real estate alone? 3. What's one business system or financial lesson that has made a difference in your journey? Don't feel you need to have all the answers. Whether you're just getting started or you've been investing for years, your experience could help someone else in this community. Let's share what we're learning, support each other, and grow together. Your next breakthrough could start with a simple conversation in the comments! 👇

Why I Don’t Worry About Competition
I’m not worried about competition. I’ve learned that competition becomes a distraction when you lose sight of your mission, purpose, and own lane. The moment you stop comparing your journey to someone else’s, you can focus on becoming better than who you were yesterday. That mindset has played a big role in my real-estate journey. Before I got into real estate, I focused on building multiple streams of income and cash flow. Looking back, I’m grateful I took that step early because having multiple sources of cash flow gave me more flexibility and made my real-estate journey much easier to navigate. My advice to anyone working a 9–5 who wants to venture into real estate: don’t feel like you have to jump overnight. Start building your financial foundation and additional cash-flow streams while you're still working. Then you can enter real estate with more flexibility, options, and confidence. You don’t have to race someone else. Master your lane. Build your own path. Stay focused on your mission. When you stop looking sideways, you have a lot more energy to move forward. What’s one thing you’re currently building outside of your main source of income?
