Welcome to Work Smarter Live Better
Welcome to the Community Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Renee, and I live in Canada with my two autistic sons. My professional background is in Social Work, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. For many years, my passion has been helping people create positive change in their lives, overcome challenges, and discover their potential. About six years ago, I began a personal journey that expanded beyond traditional social work. I became deeply interested in personal development, mindset, human potential, and wealth creation. Along the way, I invested thousands of dollars in my own education, studying with some of the most recognized names in the industry, including Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, Mary Morrissey, Dr. Joe Vitale, Mindvalley, Regan Hillyer, the Silva Method, and wealth creation programs led by business coach JT Foxx. My journey began as a distributor for a personal development company, which led me to enroll in a year-long coaching program based on Bob Proctor's teachings. I also worked one-on-one with one of Bob Proctor's top coaches. Like many others on the personal development path, I watched The Secret, read Think and Grow Rich, and immersed myself in countless books, courses, seminars, and training programs. As I continued learning, I noticed something important. Many of the teachers, coaches, and experts were sharing similar principles. While each person had their own style and approach, the core concepts remained remarkably consistent. What stood out to me was how many of these ideas aligned with concepts I had already encountered through my education and experience as a social worker. That's when I realized there was an opportunity to simplify what can often feel overwhelming. Many personal development and wealth creation programs contain incredible information, but they can also be expensive, complicated, or filled with unnecessary jargon. I wanted to create a space where people could access these powerful concepts without having to spend thousands of dollars or sort through endless hours of content.

Turning Epic Fails into Game Plans: Lessons from Setbacks
Discover how to transform failures into stepping stones for success. Messing up isn't the end; it’s just information. Have you ever wondered why your plans flop harder than a fish out of water? Or felt like your life is one epic fail after another? Join me as we dive into those epic flops and uncover genuine game plans that even your cat would be proud of. ## Redefining Failure Most personal development content treats failure like a dirty word, something to fear or hide from. But I want to flip that narrative. **Messing up isn’t proof that you’re broken; it’s information**. The people who actually reach their goals aren’t the ones who never trip; they’re the ones who get good at figuring out why they tripped so they don’t do it again. > "A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new." - Albert Einstein But let’s add this: **a person who makes the same mistake repeatedly hasn’t learned anything**. That’s the real skill here—not being fearless but noticing the lessons and ensuring you don’t pay for them twice. ## The Noise of Setbacks Setbacks used to be quieter. You could flop at something and quietly try again without an audience. Now, thanks to everyone posting their highlight reels online, setbacks feel louder than they actually are. Your cousin posts their fitness transformation the week you skipped the gym three times, and suddenly it feels like the whole internet is judging your Tuesday. But remember, nobody’s paying that much attention to you—they’re too busy worrying about their own highlight reel. The goal isn’t to never miss a day. It’s about fewer wild swings and more steady ones. **Pace yourself like you’re managing a budget, not sprinting a hundred-meter dash**. ## Learning from Mistakes We’ve built a whole industry around asking successful people, "How did you do it?" But that question is overrated. What’s more insightful is asking, **“What went wrong, and what did you change afterwards?”** Smart people learn from their own mistakes; even smarter ones borrow from others and skip the expensive lessons.

Anxiety and Goals
# Navigating Anxiety on the Path to Your Goals > Understand how to embrace anxiety as part of ambition. Today, we dive into a topic that many of us face when pursuing meaningful goals: the anxiety that often accompanies our ambitions. It's a familiar feeling—like a shadow lurking just as we prepare to take a significant step forward. But what if that anxiety isn’t a sign that we’re on the wrong path? What if it’s a signal that we’re about to do something truly important? ## The Connection Between Ambition and Anxiety Pursuing any real goal means stepping into the unknown. When we venture into unfamiliar territory, our nervous systems naturally react. As anxiety arises, our brains may interpret this as a threat, triggering our body’s alarm system. This is where we often find ourselves grappling with procrastination or self-doubt, not due to a lack of discipline, but because our bodies are responding to perceived risks. > "Anxiety showing up while you chase a goal isn't proof you're on the wrong path. It's information, a signal your body generates as you stretch towards something new." ## Recognizing Your Patterns Understanding how anxiety manifests in your body is the first step towards managing it. For some, it manifests as racing thoughts or irritability, while for others, it may look like avoidance or a sudden urge to tackle tasks that distract from the main goal. These responses are not character flaws; they are your nervous system’s way of protecting you. Getting curious about your unique patterns without judgment can lead to greater self-awareness. ## Practical Tools to Manage Anxiety Renee shares a practical approach for confronting anxious feelings before taking action: 1. **Identify the Feeling**: Notice where anxiety shows up in your body. Place a hand over that spot and breathe into it slowly. 2. **Reassure Yourself**: Offer yourself comforting words like, "I hear you. I'm safe taking this step." 3. **Count Down and Move**: After acknowledging the feeling, count down from five and take action—whether it’s sending that email or making that call.
