A lot of you joined this group to learn about investing. This is your first step. This is our Weekly Deposit Roll Call. If you're new here and don't have an investment account yet - you need to set one up. If you don't know which brokerage you want to use, just pick robinhood. It has the best mobile app for beginners and is easy to set up. Now - you need to set up your weekly automatic deposits of $10. You're allowed to do more or just add extra money as you can. This isn't about how much - this is to ensure you get started and build the habit. Let’s get this thread active 👇 Let me know what you invested in this week. We don’t care about the amount. We care that you showed up. You have automatic weekly deposits going into the account and you put some money to work. This is week 3 of the public account. As you know I have a minimum weekly deposit of $100 going into this account each week. I'm buying more s&p 500. I think it's important to build base in a broad market ETF before buying any individual equities. You can build your entire portfolio around buying the s&p. Anywho, what did you invest in this week? ATW - We're back! 🟢
I'll be honest with you. I let this community go quiet. I thought while traveling I'd have more time, freedom, and energy to focus on building my businesses, but honestly, it created the opposite. Visiting different countries, changing time zones, constantly moving and staying in different hotels created a pretty chaotic routine. It made it hard for me to really get focused and locked in on this community the way I wanted to. But I'm officially back home now, and I've spent the last two weeks planning and rebuilding what I want this community to be. The focus is still the same: money management, investing, and building and growing our stock portfolios. I've been excited putting all of this together for you guys. I'm recording brand-new lessons, building templates and tools, and finalizing our Community Retirement Calculator to help you figure out your retirement number, plan your portfolio, and get clear on exactly what you're investing toward. I made this calculator because most people have no idea how much they actually need to retire or exactly how much they should be shooting for in their investment portfolios. If you don't understand how to calculate your own goals you will almost definitely fall short. You need to know your portfolio goals to achieve them. Fomo
A lot of people want to get into the markets NOW. Now that we are at all time highs… That’s a common beginner mistake. They don’t want to invest until they feel fomo and realize we are all making money in these markets. You want to be in during the move - not after. That being said - it’s never too late to get in and catch the next one. Will be on live tomorrow. I will be putting more effort into growing the community and going live every Monday and Friday. Money Mondays will be onboarding, community basics, live Q&A. Finance Friday's will be actual learning and breakdowns. This Friday, we’re going over how to understand a price chart and the basics of technical analysis so you can actually recognize when you’re buying highs, lows, or dips.
