TWO DIFFERENT EIN's
Hi Dr. Ed!
I have applied online for my SSA benefits on July 13th2026. On Saturday I received a letter from SSA requesting information re: my 1993 earnings. They said they have the same amount of earnings listed for me from TWO different employers!:
EIN: 770333111 TWD INSURANCE SERVICES
EIN: 951624613 TOLMAN & WIKER INSURANCE A
EACH REPORTED EARNINGS OF: $11,775.73
(ON MY SSA EARNINGS CHART IT SHOWS MY TOTAL EARNINGS FOR 1993 AS: $23,551.46)
($11,775.73 + $11,775.73=$23,551.46)
In 1993 my organization acquired another small insurance agency. (TWD Ins. Services)My question is would this be normal for them to split the taxes and use two different Employers Identification numbers?
Please advise.
Thank you!😁
