OOTD - Tuesday 1 September
Today is the first official first day of Spring in Australia. My daughter chose the suit, tie and watch to match my shirt I was getting ready last night. I think without even realizing she stumbled into this Spring Styled outfit. I did grab my Panama Style hat as it is very sunny, and no coat today as I dropped my daughter to school on my way out the door to the weekly chiropractor appointment. I stopped by a local park to get the Fashion Shots, just made sure not to get the playground equipment in the shot as they may look a little on the dodgy side 🤭 I have also added a nice texture shot of the Twill pattern in the linen trousers against the textured pattern of the OTAA socks Todays outfit consists of; Stanton Collapsible Panama Style Hat M.J. Bale Alcantara Linen Suit in Sand Charles Tyrwhitt Royal Oxford Windowpane Check Shirt in Steel Blue OTAA San Pietro Orange Floral Tie OTAA Yardbird Orange Wool Pocket Square OTAASpiculus Tiger’s Eye Gladiator Helm Bracelet OTAA Khaki Brown Textured Socks Ecco CityTray Slip-On in Cognac SOTD - Versace Eros Flame with an Eros Parfum overspray WOTD - Praesidus Victory Sands in Cream Won from TWB on a Strap Habit Khaki Sailcloth Strap

OOTD August 31st
Closing out August. Another 100° plus day. Charles Tyrwhitt tan linen shirt with rolled sleeves over blue Twillory shorts. Beckett Simonon brown suede sneakers with no show socks. Monterey Kitty Hawk blue dial watch. Took my son to K1 speed again today. He is better than me. Employee gave him a free race for fastest lap of the week and tried to talk him into the adult league. It is Sunday nights which will get in the way on softball and also about $80 a week.

Setting the Tone 😎
Its MONDAY!! you all know how much I LOVE MONDAYS!! 🎉😎 Life is full of choices! I choose to love Mondays. To me, Monday is not something to get through. It is an opportunity to set the tone for the week ahead. Today is a busy one, as Mondays usually are for me, but I also have a meeting with my banker this afternoon and then I’m taking my bride out for dinner tonight. So I dressed for the whole day. Tan trousers, a white shirt, brown shoes, and a blue sport coat that adds just enough polish for the meeting while still feeling perfectly appropriate for the office and dinner later. Nothing about it is complicated. But it was all chosen with purpose. That is what I enjoy about Monday. You get a fresh start. A new week. Another chance to decide how you want to show up, what kind of energy you want to bring, and what kind of week you want to create. I don’t believe the week simply happens to us. We have a lot more influence over it than we sometimes realize. We can choose to start with optimism. We can choose to be prepared. We can choose to be grateful for the opportunities in front of us. And we can choose to approach the week intentionally instead of waiting to see what it gives us. Today, I’m choosing to start strong, enjoy the work in front of me, appreciate the meetings and people on my calendar, and end the day having dinner with my favorite Human!. That sounds like a pretty good Monday to me. 😎 Set the tone. Make the week yours. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!

Daily Skin Routine - yes, I have one
Nobody ever taught me to care about my skin. I grew up lower middle class in the USA and in a shop, working on engines by the time I was four (yes a four year old can be kept busy disassembling carborartors). Rough hands meant you worked. Rough, at least a little rough... showed you were a man. You could be trusted. The first time I used moisturizer on my hands, I was 38 or 39. It had Dead Sea salts and made my hands soft and a little oily. I was horrified. I honestly thought people would not trust me. That sounds insane now, but that was how I was raised. The strange part is that I spent my adult life in tech and sales. I wore a suit far more than shop clothes. Eventually, I grew past that thinking. I grew up. I realized this is how those in the know kept down those who are not, by choice or by accident, who knows. I just know in my family: I was not educated on skin care for men. There is a reason people with money have traditionally looked younger while poor people often looked older. Money buys products, information, doctors and the chance to prevent damage early. The wealthier or the higher classes dhare It also makes caring for yourself feel normal instead of weak. Now my routine is: For my face and neck routine: ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Moisture Essence, Marine Oil and Marine Cream SPF 30. For my eye routine: ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Eye Revive Mask or Kiehl’s Age Defender Eye Repair. Now I am old and balding these days. So for my scalp and outer ears routine: Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50 every morning. At night, Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Clearing Serum on the discoloration (scalp only). For beardruff and flaky ears my beard, mustache and dry outer ears: Cliganic Organic Jojoba Oil rubbed into damp beard and dry ears. Yeah, it is a lot. The 38-year-old me would have thought this was insane. The nearly 53-year-old me knows better. I wish i had started earlier. If you grew up like me, consider if you were taught or not taught that a man needs skin care. Or more importantly: learn about it.

@Robert Meyers I hear you. I have several ball caps as well. But they have a very specific purpose for me. And since I really need good sun protection I’ve leaned more into Panama and fedoras especially in the summer

@Robert Meyers I agree!

A very busy week got kicked off today with a good set of project management, team, and vendor calls. Forgive me if I am brief in noting the days details this week (other than the AI-generated outfit details). It's going to be a lot busier as the world returns from summer vacations and we focus on finishing the year strong. I'd prefer to focus my RMRS post content on special events and standout days and make regular days more focused on the work! Today’s video-conference outfit combines blue, khaki, maroon, and green in a warm business-casual palette. The tailored trousers and formal Oxfords provide structure, while the checked vest and tie add visual interest. - Shirt — DS-022 (Nordstrom): A blue cotton herringbone dress shirt with a soft hand, very high opacity, and SmartCare finish. Its tailored sleeves and crisp point collar establish a polished foundation for video meetings. - - Undershirt — US-009 (Pro Club): A roomy mid-blue cotton crew-neck undershirt in a substantial fabric. It supports the blue shirt discreetly while providing dependable comfort throughout the day. - - Trousers — SL-008 (Santorelli): Khaki wool odd trousers with a subtle basket weave, tailored fit, and slight sheen. Their business-classic formality anchors the outfit and balances the more colorful vest. - - Vest — VWC-008 (Hisdern): A light-maroon windowpane vest with red, yellow, and green accents. It gives the upper body visual definition on camera while keeping the outfit firmly within business-casual territory. - - Tie — NT-057 (Rampley & Co.): An Italian-made, three-fold shantung-silk tie with matte blue, cream, and ecru stripes, hand-rolled edges, and substantial texture. Its strong drape and camera-friendly pattern add business-formal polish while complementing the blue shirt and warm-toned ensemble. - - Pocket Square — PS-025 (GB Selected): A matte beige cotton square with a large tone-on-tone border. The restrained color echoes the khaki trousers and softens the stronger patterns above the waist. - - Belt — B-010 (Magnanni): A caramel-brown leather belt with subtle swirling and a silver buckle. Its warm tone bridges the khaki trousers and chocolate-brown shoes. - - Footwear — DSh-007 (Allen Edmonds): Chocolate-brown cap-toe Oxfords in leather with Goodyear-welt construction and waxed dark-brown laces. Their business-formal shape elevates the outfit while harmonizing naturally with the belt and trousers. - - Socks — DSo-079 (Mazarin): Academy-green, over-the-calf cotton-lisle socks with a fine ribbed texture and hand-linked toes. The green quietly recalls the vest’s accent color while remaining appropriately restrained. - - Watch — W-006 (Fossil): The Fossil Townsman Automatic combines a blue open-heart dial, polished stainless-steel case, and brown leather strap. It reinforces both the blue elements above the waist and the brown leather accessories. - - Ankle Watch — W-001 (Apple): The Apple Watch is worn on the ankle solely for health and activity-data collection. It is not visible and is not part of the outfit’s visual composition. - - Pen — P-006 (Montblanc): The Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen features black precious resin, polished platinum trim, and an 18K gold medium nib. Filled with P3-logo-blue ink, it is a leadership-grade instrument suited to executive notes and planning. - - Business Card Case — BCC-005 (Frank Clegg): A bluestone goatskin bifold card case with a refined natural grain. Its slim construction and blue color coordinate neatly with the shirt, tie, and watch dial. - - Fragrance — FR-009 (Roberto Ugolini Azzurro): A moderate citrus-aromatic fragrance with herbs, marine nuances, and light woods. Its bright, summery character keeps this layered business-casual outfit feeling fresh rather than heavy.

Love the look Doc!! In pic one though your trouser legs look very uneven. It did look like you were picking up the one leg to show your sock. Unless I’m missing something
