Licensing for Binder under Linux
Being very careful with those credit cards transactions, I am trying to register for Binder Pro - Unlock All -, however, I have no way to verify the actual SSL/TLS connectivity or how my credit card information is sent when using the Binder software. I see a link on the web page to license Binder online, but it only offers Windows and MAC on the web page. How can I get the key that will work under Linux ? Is it now a universal number for all three platforms ? I previously registered Binder, but it was under Version 2.x.

yes basically your key will work on all devices. it is based on the number of devices.

🙋🏾♂️ Developer Mode. What is it?
Most people use their reMarkable straight out of the box… but there’s a whole hidden side to the device once you flip on Developer Mode. Some love it because it unlocks SSH access, custom templates, deeper backups, and automation. Others avoid it because it sounds complicated or risky.

Yeah developer mode actually gives you more privacy and makes your device more secure. reMarkable has it backwards. Developer mode lets you own your files. How secure is reMarkable? I guarantee you care more about your files then they do.

Getting past step 1
I'm struggling to get my Remarkable2 to connect consistently with Binder. It recognizes, but once I move on to the second step, it disconnects.

@Ryan Akers in binder the main source of truth is direct mode. As it is needed to make changes to your tablets templates and screens. the only benefit of remarkable cloud is the notebook section. I would actually get the direct connection mode happening here. also can you run the connection diagnosis on the connect screen and paste it here?

@Ryan Akers Most likely running a firewall unblock port 22. Check to see if you are running windows defender. Binder is pretty much married to developer mode for most features.

Hi. Hoping someone can help. I just purchased CalSync and downloaded the program/app but it refuses to launch. Any ideas?

Binder under Linux ? Any chance this could exist someday ?
Those who read/replied me know that I am using Linux and I am avoiding Windows at all costs. Using Wine is a patch IMHO for something that remains Windows-Centric. As CalSync under Linux works great, I would really like to also see Binder under Linux. Any chance this could happen ?

@Jf Messier You can use the same license key for the device covers two computers and it does not matter what os. Calsync restrict per device up to two per install depending on your plan.
