So much happening with the community these days!! Love seeing everyone going live on Substack and even the most fun - popping on a life and finding other community members hanging out there too! You all are talking about fascinating things (okay, I might be prejudiced but I just love hearing what you all have to say) When you join lives somethings to consider ... Tap the heart button - though I cannot find evidence this works the same as on TikTok (signaling the algorithm) intuitively it seems like it does And commenting - typing in the comments section encourages other to join the chat and helps the hosts feel like the audience is engaged with them. (maybe you don't have to be as chatty as I am most of the time but hopping in and at least saying hello and letting them know you're there and engaged is supportive. Again, this may or may not bring more people to the live but I suspect that it helps over all. ) When you go live, especially with other content creator on Substack - Substack pushes your live to both audience in the app, in the notifications and in the email boxes of subscribers. Afterwards the shorts can live in the notes section and extend the reach even further as lives create long form content you can added to in the form of a written post on your publication. @Tracy Nicholas ' skool community Awaken Your Magic has doubled in size from going live weekly on Thursdays (at noon mtn) @Kerrie Wearing goes live on Sundays with the spiritual forecast coming up @Karen Langston goes live on Wednesday mornings (10am mtn) with her label to table messages she share with Dani

One of the things I love about this community is that we are not out here by ourselves trying to navigate Substack and wondering if we're the only ones (insert the latest thing you found yourself thinking/confused about) And I especially enjoy when people share stuff with me, they discover so we can all talk about it. It really takes the pressure off to have all the answers - which in case you didn't know - I don't. Yet having this space where we can all bring what we've discovered to one place makes everyone richer for the experience, don't you think? 📣Yesterday two people shared a new feature with me and each had a different way to use the feature - The first was @Ciska Venter who shared that there was a new feature where we can segment our audience - in her example she shared that we can hide under a "pay to reveal" banner bits of a post so we don't have to pay wall the entire post. (If you're curious about pay walling that - you can read more about it in this thread - Dissecting a Paywall Post) 🎉And then later in the day @Soph Newman shared a post someone on Substack had created explaining how to use the feature to paywall based on different levels to encourage upgrading. I suspect that today is going to be a day of making videos for me 1) how to make the wordmark so it blends into the header section (it's been a busy week - but I haven't forgotten) 2) thoughts on using the segmented audience feature to inspire paid subscribers In order to have paid subscribers though you must be accepting payments... @Isabel Bar is turning her payment option on soon - today? Pretty excited for you, just saying! In the process she discovered she was doing something that I was afraid I was going to do early on - and that's get tangled up in editing the wrong email - She talks about it here it's so easy to do.

After the big AI panic of yesterday, things are finally settling down... Though I do find a certain amount of irony in the idea of using AI to track AI. Here's the deal - Substack is now allowing visitors to grade our content on Substack as to whether it's human or not or some combination of both. In order to find that option you simply click the 3 dots on the right of the note or post and select the AI scan option. It just started yesterday and requires a minimum amount of content in order to make a guess as to how much of the content is AI - short notes simply do not have enough words for it to function. The easiest way to mitigate all of this is to add a "how this was created" notice to your Substack - you can find this setting by going to your dashboard, then the settings then all the way down to near the very bottom just above import/export (go ahead and hit export and back up your publication while your there - don't forget to download it) then select "how this was created" and edit. Add your AI production strategy. This is mine: 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲: Some articles, images, and supporting materials published on this Substack are created or refined with the assistance of artificial intelligence. All content is reviewed, edited, and approved by Jill Hart and reflects her own ideas, experience, and opinions. (feel free to adjust and copy - of course it was made by AI 🤣) The disclosure pops up before the rating so it feels like, "duh - of course there is some ai being picked up here - I just told you that" and for the human only writing snobs, I mean professionals, they can get their 100% human label on there and feel oh so superior to the rest of us" - (this was 100% me - no AI to tone it down) 🫟🔦🚨🔥🚨🔦🫟 🗓️Today is the 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 - woop woop - we're going to be talking about Skool Communities. Lots of us have both Substack and Skool communities and I feel like this is a good point to share what I've been picking up about leveraging what Skool is doing to grow and monetize.

🎉 Big Changes Are Here 🚀 A New Chapter for Learn Substack
Over the past few weeks, I've been looking at everything I've created over the last year and asking one simple question... How can I make this easier to follow, more valuable, and more likely to help you succeed? The answer was to completely redesign this community. Instead of feeling like a collection of resources, Learn Substack is now a step-by-step roadmap that takes you from creating your account to building a publication that grows your audience, builds authority, and supports your business. ✨ Here's What's New 📍 A clearer classroom roadmap so you always know what to do next. 🚀 A brand-new Quick Start Guide to help you build your publication with confidence. ✅ Updated checklists and foundation lessons that help you avoid the most common beginner mistakes. 🎥 A dedicated Substack Setup Intensive classroom with bi-monthly live workshops and replay access. 🌿 A Daily Notes Boost Thread where you can practice using Notes, build relationships, and help each other grow. 📚 A Community Directory where you can discover other members' Substacks, YouTube channels, podcasts, and Skool communities. 🧲 A Client Acquisition Audit classroom to help you identify your next best step when you're ready to turn your visibility into conversations, relationships, and clients. ...and I'm just getting started. 🌿 Why There Are Daily Notes Boost Threads in Both Communities If you're also a member of Client Acquisition for Coaches, you'll notice there is now a Daily Notes Boost Thread in both communities. That's intentional. Although you'll often be sharing the same Note, you'll be connecting with two different groups of creators. That means more conversations, more relationships, and more opportunities for your work to be discovered. Learn Substack focuses on learning the platform and building confidence. Client Acquisition for Coaches focuses on using Substack strategically as part of a complete client acquisition system. I encourage you to participate in both. 💜 You're Grandfathered In

🚨⭐We Just Hit 100 Members!!⭐
For a community I put together mainly for seo purposes, I'm ecstatic that there are now 100 of us! @Stephanie S is our 100th member. I'd love to encourage you all to join the You World Order Community as it's where all the action takes place - also free - but MUCH more activity and visibility opportunities.
