Hunger or Thirst?
Quick check in with you. Our body can mix up the hunger and thirst signal. SOOOOOO....... Next time you have cravings, want to nibble on something, just have a glass of water and wait for 10 minutes. If the hunger is still there - you need food. If the hunger disappears, you just needed hydration. Have you ever noticed this happening to you?

Hemps Seeds - Why I Recommend
Have you tried hemp seeds? They have a lovely mild, slightly nutty flavour and are one of those little foods I love adding to meals because they pack quite a bit of nutrition into a small amount (also very easy to use). Why are hemp seeds so good for us? • Omega-3 fats – important for brain and heart health, and can help support a healthy inflammatory balance in the body. • Plant-based iron – many people don't realise hemp seeds naturally contain iron, which is needed for healthy red blood cells and energy production. • Zinc – important for immune function, as well as healthy hair, skin and nails. • Fibre – helps support healthy digestion and keeping things regular. • Plant-based protein – hemp seeds provide a good amount of protein, making them a handy addition to a nutrient-dense meal. Premium members: I've put together a Hemp Seed Recipe Collection with smoothies, overnight oats and nutrient-dense snacks. The recipes aren't just about hemp seeds. They're designed to show you how you can combine lots of useful foods in one meal, so you're naturally ticking off plenty of nutritional boxes without having to overthink it. Stillness...
Something I often have to remind women of is that you don’t need to feel guilty for sitting down and doing nothing. Especially when your body is already dealing with health issues. We are constantly stimulated. Our phones are nearby, messages are coming through, people can reach us at any moment, there’s noise around us and there always seems to be something we should be doing. So actually sitting down and purposefully doing nothing is quite a unique thing these days. The quiet. The stillness. The lack of stimulation. Sometimes that is exactly the space your body needs to settle and allow healing to happen. So don’t underestimate those moments where you’re doing… absolutely nothing. How comfortable are you with stillness, and do you notice a difference in how your body feels when you give yourself more of it?

I love my stillness practices. I start most mornings in my quiet time. I take weekly inventory to see where I am falling into productivity habits that do not suit me and make adjustments as soon as possible. This is a really nice reminder Kelli! Thanks!
Overwhelm, our enemy
Watch this now if you experience overwhelm during your health journey or here in the community. Overwhelm is our enemy, so learn to notice it, then adjust and support yourself when it shows up. @Naturopathic coach Kelli Ooh, you're putting me on the spot, Kelli. 😂 The therapist answer is: I'd have to assess first! Overwhelm is the experience but I would want to know what's contributing to it before suggesting what to do about it. Too much information? Trying to change too much at once? Anxiety? Expectations? Something else entirely? However, my quick tip would be to focus the attention to making the overwhelm smaller and more specific. Instead of "this whole health journey is overwhelming," ask, - What exactly am I overwhelmed by? - What feels like too much right now? - What are my expectations around this? Are they realistic? - Am I trying to do too much at once? - Am I putting pressure on myself? - Is there something I'm worried will happen if I don't do this right? - Is the overwhelm coming from my thoughts or what I think others expect of me? Those are some basic examples. Once you get more specific about what's underneath the overwhelm, it's much easier to figure out how to address the contributor vs. trying to get rid of the overwhelm, which is a normal human response to change. And then, like you said, pick one lane. 😁
