I finally got the box from Jomashop this afternoon I was waiting for. May I present...the Tissot Carson! I know I was going to buy a Le Locle, but I wanted the small seconds version and have not been able to find one new on the gray market, so I went for my secondary. I'm not disappointed. Of course I had to size the bracelet right away and wear it out to go get dinner. 😁 The Specs: 40mm case, exhibition caseback 2-tone stainless steel and rose gold PVD butterfly bracelet and case Case thickness 10.3mm Silver dial with Roman numerals, leaf hands, date window at 6 o'clock Sapphire crystal, fixed bezel Swiss-made Tissot Powermatic 80.111 automatic movement, 80-hour power reserve I don't see this model on the current Tissot website, but last year it was $900 retail. Price at Jomashop with a coupon: $289.

I recently pre-ordered a couple of watches from Monterey Watch Company - this model and a different one, which will arrive in a couple of months. I had the hardest time deciding between this color and another, finally settling on this one because it was more versatile. Well, a day or two after I ordered it I realized that I made a mistake, because I found myself wishing I had gone with the other dial color. So, I emailed Tim and asked if it would be possible to switch my order to the other color - and he said it was no problem. When the package showed up today, though, this one - the one I originally ordered - was in the package... I probably could have emailed Tim and arranged a swap, but I decided against it. I loved the look is this one so much I decided to keep it. And, yes, I placed another order today for this model in the other color... 😁

While this certainly isn't my most worn watch, it's definitely a regular in the rotation. (Though, apparently, not a regular feature in my OOTD posts for some odd reason...) There have been a few times when I've tried window-shopping for another Citizen watch, hoping to find another amazing dial in this series, only to come up empty. And, now, it looks like Citizen isn't even listing them on their website! The only Tsuyosas that show up have that hideous - to my eyes - date cyclops... What gives? Why has this awesome series disappeared?

Happy "Blue" Monday! Feeling the blues on another hot and humid day here, so I reached for the gorgeous Erebus Ascent 39mm Automatic with the gorgeous blue MOP dial. Moving my wrist around as I work, this beautiful dial shifts thru a shimmering range of deep ocean blues, soft ice blues, and rose pink, with iridescent flashes of violet and green. Truly stunning. I frequently find myself moving my wrist around simply to watch the display and show. This watch was a totally unexpected gift to me from a group of dear friends a while ago, one for which I am ever grateful. Best wishes for a Marvelous "Blue" Monday! 😀
