Your life has a design, but understanding that design takes time.
“Your life has a design, but understanding that design takes time.” — Renee Howard Along the way, you’ll have many purposes—things you’re called to learn, build, nurture, survive, and become. Faith is foundational because it keeps you grounded while everything else is still taking shape. Sometimes the systems that help you survive can also become places you grow comfortable depending on. The goal is to receive the help you need without losing sight of the life you’re still responsible for building. Eventually, you begin to recognize the traps, not simply as failures, but as lessons. And with every lesson, you understand your design a little more. The more you learn who you are, what you value, what you’re capable of, and what God has placed inside you, the more intentionally you can move from survival to independence, and build a life that gives you a reason to keep getting up and becoming. 💜

Love it! Patience is a big one for me! Some seasons teach us, some stretch us, some require us to heal, and others reveal gifts we didn’t even know we had. We have to be patient and let it alll unravel 🧶
Tempted…
Temptation comes in many forms: food, sex, substances, relationships, comfort… and sometimes the hardest things to say NO to are the things that once made us feel good. For me, one of those things has been food. I’ve struggled with emotional eating and my weight most of my life. I have dealt with sexual abuse, a mother on drugs, and raising my brother. I am also a single mother to a 12-year-old girl. I used to joke that I was “born fat” because I came into this world almost 9 lbs 😂. But underneath the jokes, I’ve realized food became comfort and now I’m on a journey to lose 50+ lbs and break that cycle. I recently walked away from a dead-end situationship too. Some days I’m tempted to reach out, explain myself one more time, or bargain for something I already know isn’t enough. But I’m learning: I’m no longer accepting scraps in love, in life, or from myself. My weight has kept me hiding and isolating for too long. I’m coming out of that isolation now. I’m choosing discipline, healing, movement, and purpose even when it’s HARD. I’m sharing this today for transparency and accountability. Sometimes saying it out loud is part of changing your mindset. Everything that comforts you doesn’t deserve control over you. Protect your purpose. Choose what keeps you free. ❤️ What are you learning to say NO to so you can say YES to your next level? Grateful for this community. Have a blessed and purposeful day! 🙏🏾✨

@Rashad Woods 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 💐 The chills I got reading this…Amen and Amen again!! I love this for you. There’s truly power in doing less with greater intention. Being present. Finishing what we start. Setting priorities without guilt. And realizing that “no” and “not right now” can be forms of stewardship too. I was reading your response and reflecting on how I’ve had to recognize how easily I can pour my energy into people, problems, and responsibilities that aren’t actually mine to carry, then wonder why I don’t have enough left for the things God has placed in MY own hands. I love that this challenge isn’t just about productivity for you and it’s more so about becoming healthier and more whole!! Cheers 🥂 to finishing these last 100+ days focused and present. Thanks for sharing. Are you a life coach?

Daily Quote/ Motivation
Don't allow your heart to revisit what you have physically left. ~ Daneja Monique Whether they miss you or not, YOU STILL HAVE TO HEAL If they apologized or not, YOU STILL HAVE TO HEAL Whether or not you received closure, YOU STILL HAVE TO HEAL You may have wondered If they choose someone else or not, YOU STILL HAVE TO HEAL You may or may not have kids with the person, YOU STILL HAVE TO HEAL Don't focus on what your mind has been wondering, what you may be romanticizing, or what you might even want answers to. The best thing to do is to focus on doing the HEART work and using your pain as fuel that guides you to your purpose. Happy Saturday

❤️‍🩹 Healing is definitely a marathon, not a race lol! But so well worth the journey’
Let’s GO! 💪
As we continue to embark on our journey towards purpose, my prayer is that you know that you are destined for greatness! However that may look for you. You are special, you are loved, you are unique and one of a kind. Thank you to the mentors, coaches, pastors, teachers, and even those in the Bible who the Lord placed in His Word for us to learn from; who have gone before us to show us the way to a righteous life. Keep pushing forward and don’t give up! You got this!

Yes!! we have to start teaching/showing our children this early too. It would’ve been nice to have someone really reiterate this to me, especially in adolescent years.
