@Shannon Boyer YES PLEASE!!!!
#FriendFriday 🎉
In the COMMENTS BELOW, please share a Skool community you think is doing really great things. It can be one you've participated in yourself or one that you've heard from others is amazing. Please do the following: 1. Tell us the name of the community and link to it (affiliates allowed). 2. Tag the person who owns the community. If they are not in the CLASSIFIEDS, then please send them a DM and let them know that you mentioned them here. I promise you will make their day! 3. Describe why the group is so wonderful and how it has helped you. Please DO NOT just copy and paste the About page! 4. Comment on each others comments and scroll through the referrals to see if there's an amazing group you are missing out on! Thanks so much for supporting each other and this community! Please note that any #FriendFriday mentions that are created as new posts will be deleted. Thanks! Please DO NOT promote yourself. 🤨. The entire community is for promoting yourself. This post is for celebrating someone else. 😊

Thanks to our amazing moderator, @Faith Adebayo for filling in for me when I was unable to host this session due to a family emergency. My apologies to those I was not able to meet today. I sincerely hope that we are able to meet in the near future!

This is so timely (unlike an emergency care visit 😬) Praying for your family and any ongoing care. It can be so hard to trust or let your guard down and enjoy when you've had tough stuff happen especially all together ❤
💙 For Skool Friends, An Analysis of the NEW Trending Discovery
Hey friends in the Classifieds, Did you see Skool News this week? They mentioned there would be some wonkiness and changes in Discovery. We now have a new algorithm. AND last week, we found out that we could move the slider from 30% to 70% to give Skool a larger commission, as a help with potentially getting more traffic. What I believe is that Skool's new efficiency score is almost exclusively what is determining the ranking on the trending page. It looks at conversion rates, traffic, income and revenue, but also the Growth Boost percentage (we have the option to slide from 30% all the way up to giving Skool 70% of our revenue in order to get more traffic). And perhaps other details I've missed or simply am not privy to. In practice, that means that "trending" is almost more like an auction or marketplace for how much revenue a group can bring to Skool, rather than a more traditional meaning of how popular something is. This is way more than popularity. The 30 communities on page 1 more or less show which groups Skool's algorithm currently sees as the most profitable / "efficient" to promote. THE FORMULA IS LIKE THIS: Expected value per visitor ≈ Conversion rate * expected customer LTV * Growth Boost percentage (and then some other bits that surely factor in, like the amount of traffic a group is sending to Skool) MORE PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS - A lot of the Platinum program folks are there (meaning: those supported by Skool's platinum program, with at least 1/3 who were in it) - Many have huge audiences and are likely sending a lot of traffic to Skool - Most didn't have tiers OR had simple tiers dynamic (24 out of 30 didn't have tiers, in the top 10 NONE of them had tiers!) - ZERO free or freemium groups - Many of the groups are way more expensive than just a couple weeks ago what you'd see on page 1. Now the average entry price is around $100 - The majority have at least 100k followers - Vast majority have strong promises or guarantees --> first client in 90 day, $1k/day, $2k/mo, get hired, get funded, hit $100k/mo, close on the first call, money-back guarantee - More than 2/3 have an annual plan and those are often steeply discounted

@Éva Raposa Yep! I can't wait to see if there are some low ticket models that are efficient. AND to see if there's like ONE kind or if there are a variety that work (individual skools need individual strategies vs trending strategies.)
💙 Honest Q: Your thoughts on the recent Skool changes?
- Yesterday I shared an analysis of the NEW Trending Discovery (this is a HUGE change and worth checking out) - In July, freemium Skools were updated so that you could see paid plans IMMEDIATELY - Of course there's also the Growth Boost (here's some real talk on the deeper details) - No more Skool Games (now the "Skool Game" is just going for emojis that represent income and if you get to $100k MRR, you get to be in a secret club and win a shiny trophy + join an in-person mastermind at some point) - No more 1% star groups. RIP ⭐ - Now we have reviews (FUN! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) - There have also been some developments on the language side so that Skool is now available in 11 languages (currencies coming soon enough) So I'm just genuinely curious... what are YOUR thoughts on the recent Skool changes? Are you questioning Skool? More excited to be here than ever? Waiting to see?!

The change I don't love... is the loss of the star. I would love if they flipped the emoji to hearts (which confident men can handle) or something else without losing that core aspect or "game" for people that wanted to win THAT skool game. As for the new skool games? I LOVE IT. because before people would try to win the games and destroy their communities and businesses in the process. I hope this creates more sustainable models. I am grateful for Growth Boost and love the experiment. I am hopeful they make skool something truly awesome for people that are or AREN'T here to make money. We shall see how that plays out. The world is pretty "bro" and money/power/connection centric in either smaller or larger scale. I think its pretty logical that as soon as money is involved, money becomes the center. That's not my preference, but I think that is how things work in general.
