What's Something You Do Often You Thought Everyone Does?
What's Something You Do Often You Thought Everyone Does? I'll go first... Budgeting each month and planning your month...financially. I didn't use to do this but ever since I started doing it, it's changed my life. - I'm not stressed as much. - There are less "shocker" moments when an unexpected expense pops up. - That big bill is planned for. - When you swipe your credit or debit card, you know you're going to be able to actually pay for it. What about you? We'd love to hear something you do often!

@Daniel Sloan I eat plant based as much as possible, and it’s honestly easiest to make my meals myself. That way I know exactly what I’m eating! Weekly meal preps help a ton. Tonight I’m making my favorite homemade pizza for the Florida State game!

@Daniel Sloan this year I started a garden. I can’t believe how much longer my produce lasts! I spend the time once a week (or every two weeks) to batch cook meal bases like rice, beans and quinoa. I cut and blanch white and sweet potatoes for fries and potato chips. I also always have canned and frozen veggies on hand, as well as whole wheat bread and wraps. I always keep lots of ingredients handy so that putting a meal together is fast and easy! I don’t usually meal “plan” because I eat simply. Some days I make a full casserole, and sometimes it’s a peanut butter sandwich! 😄
I couldn't believe what my son said after working for 7.5 hours!
A lot of stuff I don't share on my social media channels (YT, FB, and IG) but I wanted to share this quick video (unedited) of my sons and I putting in a new fence post with concrete with you here on Skool! What my son says at 0:46 still has me smiling from ear to ear. Backstory: We first had to dig up the old fence post and concrete which went down 24". Then we had to dig down to 36". Then we placed this Sono Tube and hand mixed 4 bags of concete in our wheel barrow (4 x 80-lbs = 320-lbs. We poured the concrete in the Sono tube around our new fence post and had to compact the dirt around it at the same time. At the time of this video, we'd been working for 7.5 hours in 96 degree temps (granted we worked under a pop-up shade - work smarter not harder 😉). All of this made what my son said at 0:46 even more sweet ❤️ (keep in mind, my son that said this isn't even double digits yet!) What awesome things have your kids said when you least expected them to?

When is Too Young to Work?
My son asked if he could help on our project today. We removed an old rotted fence post and dug down 36” so we can install a new one. Here’s my son helping me. He can barely lift our post hole digger. I couldn’t be more proud!

It’s good for them to have age appropriate jobs/chores around the house! Nothing wrong with kids pitching in with these projects, under supervision. My kids loved it when they were little, it made them feel so important and accomplished, lol
