Hello my son Tommy is nearly 9 do you think finger saves are good or not? Or is it down to personal opinion?

Hello my 8 year old son is in the habit of toe poking the ball from goalkicks, I’ve tried explaining the best way to do it has anyone got any ideal tutorials or videos?

On Wednesday I had my first match with my college team, and I’m very happy with how I played! The opposition only had 8 players so we did 9v8, they were a very strong side and did not make it easy at all, I very much enjoyed it though because I was getting lots of action, I made lots of great saves and lots of corner clearances. We lost 2-0 which with how one sided the game was, certainly isn’t a bad score, it was attack after attack from them! First goal was a 1v1 at my near post which I was a bit disappointed with as I went for a split save, on reflection I reckon I could have held my ground and gone for a k block instead 🤔 Second goal my defender made a mistake and gave the ball to them right infront of the goal so they just smashed it into the top corner 😅 Definitely nothing I could have done about that one. I told her to forget about it and move on, and she certainly made up for it later with a great goal line clearance from a corner. The opposition were horrible on the corners, on this particular one I went for it and jumped to grab it and they grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the floor, not entirely sure how the ref didn’t see it but oh well. Overall I’m very happy with my performance and I made lots of saves, I got potm aswell 😃 The J4K Elite MII Prime gloves were fantastic in the wet weather aswell, I was very impressed with the grip on them.
