Something to challenge yourself with!
Today's 5 minute challenge/lesson video drops today! Check it out here: https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4000ef63?md=4c343849fc214bcd9d0d2d324236c725 The video may only be about 5 minutes, but working it out for yourself may take a bit longer! This one expands on last weeks video about finding triads on 3 string groupings, and pushes you to take that concept and apply it to chord progressions! This way of thinking about the fretboard is one of the BEST ways to begin mapping out the fretboard. So if you've ever said to yourself, "I wish I understood the fretboard better", this is a great place to start!!! I would recommend having your barre chords and a decent understanding of CAGED for this lesson to really take hold, but just having a few bar chord shapes will probably suffice. As always if you have any questions, feel free to ask away! I'm always here, watching...haha! See you Friday with another classroom video! -Ben P.S. If you want to dive into the CAGED course in here, think about joining our Premium tier, if only for a month to get full access!

@Mike Abalos Nice job! Look at those fingers moving all over that fretboard! 👀

Sliding into a new week!
Let's work on string bends!
New video in the techniques classroom section! Let's work on our bends!!! Link Here: https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/1008c20d?md=9a56bb7eba3644a1b5a0b8354a713e3e In this video, I show you the proper technique to get the most out of your bends as well as showing some of the more popular type's of bends in music. Remember, to get the most out of this, you want to practice your accuracy and making sure to keep the note ringing out after the bend! Let me know if you have any questions, or if there's something in particular you'd like to see! I have a massive list of things to cover, but if there's something that could help someone more immediately, I'd love to start with that! Have a great weekend and I will see you next week! -Ben
Let's work on string bends!
A quick lesson is up for you today!
This is a quick 5 minute lesson/challenge involving finding your triads on groups of three strings. Specifically your root position triads. That means you're looking for a root on the lowest string of the group, the next string would then have the third on it, and the highest string would have the fifth. Link here: https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4000ef63?md=ab376f73871b47fbac004260efc66270 The idea behind this exercise is to get you comfortable with looking for these triads and start visualizing the fretboard as chord shapes. This is like the very start of CAGED and should get you setup nicely to start down that path, should you choose. It's so much easier to visualize the fretboard as chords and the plus side, each scale position live directly on top of each chord shape. The chord shape gives you the chord tones within the scale (the best notes to play over that chord). Let me know if you have any questions, otherwise have fun and get your brain and fingers warmed up! You've got this! See You Friday! -Ben

A quick lesson is up for you today!
This one's just for fun!
Hey everyone, today has been a full day of recording and editing video's for here in Skool, and for some of our other social media platforms. I'm taking a break now and wanted to just do something for fun in here for you all. So here's a bit of something I'm working on at the moment, I've only got a few final ideas in here, but for the most part I'm just improvising and jamming. Figured you might get a kick out of seeing me struggle haha! Hope everyone is having a great week so far! Mike will be around a bit, but he and his family are on a trip right now so we will have to just keep our eye's out for him. Don't worry though, I'm here! See you tomorrow with a quick 5 minute lesson, and then again on Friday will a longer one! -B
