Hey everyone, I'm working on videos for this week and even some new backing tracks! In the meantime, here's a fun chord progression for you to try! It might have a few more chords than your typical progression, but it sounds good! I think I heard a song from some trailer for a video game and it set me down this path haha! The names look complicated, but if you use your chord charts and watch my hands its pretty much all barre chords with some open strings thrown in. Recording our newest "Beginnermediate" lesson plan is off to a fun start. We're working on helping you play the guitar from start to finish. From picking up your guitar for the first time, to playing well with others and confidently learning on your own. We'll be sure to keep everyone up to date, but here's a quick raw clip I just cut out to share... I think this will make a good setup for the lessons. Test test one two.

Is anyone interested in a Live clinic on the D chord? We can start from how to play the D chord, and then I'll have you follow along as I work through different melodic pathways across the neck and ultimately help you determine how you would like to go through your scales as well? I will probably write something specific we can go through, but I kind of just wanted to gather ideas. Possibly dates? 📅 Which works better? Morning - afternoon - evening? What time zone are you located in? There would be replays available for anyone interested that couldn't make it. What say you?

Are you starting to work on your chord transitions but you're not sure where to start? Join me as we breakdown Em, D, G, C - our "party chords" if you will - and we'll use these chords as a way to learn to better our rhythm with our right hand. Because once we know what we want to do with our left hand, we can begin to work with our right hand. What's a "Party Chord"? Don't even get me started lol 😆 jk. For people just beginning this may seem a little daunting to consider, but I make sure to lay it all out in the video, as well as giving you plenty of time to work through it yourself. Our "Party Chords" are the one's that require the least bit of "guitar knowledge" to perform, and are often the very first couple of chords we start to learn. Watch 'til the end and I'll also briefly discuss an alternative rhythm that just involves "letting loose" a little bit. Let me know if you've heard anyone play the guitar like this before...
