Latency
What is the best latency you get from an outbound voice agent and what is your setup?
Latency

@Brendan Jowett I'm setting up a self-hosted agent on an AWS server in Cape Town, South Africa. I've chosen a local SIP Trunk provider, and right now the setup is: • Ears: Cartesia Ink-2 (streaming, native turn detection), Cloud, EU endpoint. • Brain: Claude Haiku 4.5 via Bedrock, af-south • Voice: Cartesia Sonic-3.5, cloned voice, Cloud, EU endpoint. • Conductor: LiveKit Agents 1.6.8, EC2 box • Phone: Switch Telecom trunk Latency: Cartesia is 207–224ms and rock steady; Claude is 900–2,200ms, with variance from Bedrock's shared capacity, not anything I control. I tested prompt padding, caching, and history trimming, and none helped. I am looking at introducing Amazon Nova 2 Sonic, and hoping that will bring my latency down to below 1000 ms. The trade-off will be no cloned voice with no South African accent.
Intro
Hey everyone, my name is Kam and I just joined. I am dual citizen Canadian/ American but I live in Panama City Panama. For the past six years I have been a remote high ticket sales rep and appointment setter selling solar to businesses and homeowners all over America. I am looking into starting my own AI agency. I have a huge network of roofers, solar companies and HVAC companies I can reach out to. NOt concerned about the selling part, just need a product to deliver. Anyways happy to be here and start learning

Welcome
Day 34 — Real Estate AI Voice Agent: COMPLETE
Today I completed my Real Estate AI Voice Agent system. This started as a voice-agent experiment, but I wanted to take it beyond simply answering calls. I also built a dedicated real estate website around the system to demonstrate the complete experience. Live website / demo: https://kimberly-dalton.vercel.app/ The system now connects the conversation to the actual business workflow: • Lead capture & qualification • Property search & details • Appointment availability & booking • Rescheduling & cancellations • Lead updates & status tracking • Property details delivery • Follow-up automation • Agent notifications • Human handoff • Call outcome tracking • Confirmation workflows Built with Retell AI + n8n + webhooks + CRM/database + calendar automation. The biggest lesson from this build: A voice agent is only one part of the system. The real value comes from what happens after the conversation — when the AI can understand, make decisions, take actions, update the business system, and know when a human needs to step in. Day 34 — from AI that talks to an AI system that actually takes action. Next step: stress-testing the system with messy real-world conversations and edge cases. #AI #VoiceAI #RealEstateAI #AIAutomation #AIAgents #n8n #RetellAI #CRM #Automation #BuildInPublic #Day34

Well played.
Retell AI Hosting options for clients
How do you setup Retell AI accounts for clients? do you host your clients projects on your account as separate workspaces or ask the client to setup their Retell AI account and then you work on their account (i mean they host and own the environment)?

I offer all clients 2 options upfront. They get to choose between a DWY or DFY. The done-with-you option they sign up for all the tools and I just step in and built the system and then mostly charge an upkeep fee. In the done-for-you, I cover all the cost and cap usage.

@Hamza Askari in the DFY, I host everything, they are locked in with me, that's why I put limits in place so that the costs can be controlled and also to create an opportunity to upsell later when they see this is working.
