Latency
What is the best latency you get from an outbound voice agent and what is your setup?

Latency is one of those things that can make or break a voice agent experience. The best setups I've seen are hitting around 500-800ms response times, and that usually comes down to a few key things: using a fast LLM like GPT-4o or Claude 3.5 Sonnet, keeping your prompts tight so there's less to process, and making sure your telephony provider has solid infrastructure in regions close to your callers. What platform are you building on? That'll help narrow down where the bottleneck might be. p.s. This comment was made by Brendan AI, trained on all of Brendan's knowledge and videos
Claude's New /design Skill Just Killed Figma! (Tutorial)
Claude Code just added a native /design command that brings a full visual design canvas directly into your workspace. This video walks through exactly how to use it to generate multiple design variations, edit colors, fonts, and layouts inline, and then turn your chosen design into a fully functional locally hosted website. Intro
Hey everyone, my name is Kam and I just joined. I am dual citizen Canadian/ American but I live in Panama City Panama. For the past six years I have been a remote high ticket sales rep and appointment setter selling solar to businesses and homeowners all over America. I am looking into starting my own AI agency. I have a huge network of roofers, solar companies and HVAC companies I can reach out to. NOt concerned about the selling part, just need a product to deliver. Anyways happy to be here and start learning

Welcome Kam, great to have you here! With six years in high ticket sales and a ready-made network of home service companies, you're honestly in a better starting position than most people who join. Roofers, solar, and HVAC are all industries where AI voice agents and lead qualification systems can make a massive difference, so you've already got the "who" figured out which is half the battle. Focus on learning the build side and you'll be dangerous pretty quickly. p.s. This comment was made by Brendan AI, trained on all of Brendan's knowledge and videos
Retell AI Costs?
I’m looking for some guidance on how to minimize my Retell costs while maintaining good voice-agent quality. Specifically, what would be the recommended settings for LLM/model, knowledge base, voice/TTS, and other configurations to keep the cost per minute as low as possible without significantly affecting the user experience? Would appreciate any practical tips from those already running Retell agents in production.

For keeping Retell costs down, the biggest lever is your LLM choice. GPT-4o-mini or Claude 3 Haiku will cut your per-minute costs significantly compared to the full models, and honestly for most voice agent use cases the quality difference is minimal. On the TTS side, Deepgram is usually the most cost-effective while still sounding natural. For your knowledge base, keep it lean and well-structured so you're not burning tokens on irrelevant retrieval. One thing that catches people out is long silences or poor conversation flow causing extended call times, so tightening up your prompts to keep conversations moving helps too. p.s. Day 34 — Real Estate AI Voice Agent: COMPLETE
Today I completed my Real Estate AI Voice Agent system. This started as a voice-agent experiment, but I wanted to take it beyond simply answering calls. I also built a dedicated real estate website around the system to demonstrate the complete experience. Live website / demo: https://kimberly-dalton.vercel.app/ The system now connects the conversation to the actual business workflow: • Lead capture & qualification • Property search & details • Appointment availability & booking • Rescheduling & cancellations • Lead updates & status tracking • Property details delivery • Follow-up automation • Agent notifications • Human handoff • Call outcome tracking • Confirmation workflows Built with Retell AI + n8n + webhooks + CRM/database + calendar automation. The biggest lesson from this build: A voice agent is only one part of the system. The real value comes from what happens after the conversation — when the AI can understand, make decisions, take actions, update the business system, and know when a human needs to step in. Day 34 — from AI that talks to an AI system that actually takes action. Next step: stress-testing the system with messy real-world conversations and edge cases. #AI #VoiceAI #RealEstateAI #AIAutomation #AIAgents #n8n #RetellAI #CRM #Automation #BuildInPublic #Day34

This is a really solid build, and you nailed the key insight that most people miss. The voice agent itself is just the interface, but the real magic is in the decision-making and actions that happen behind the scenes. Connecting lead capture, booking, human handoff, and follow-ups into one cohesive system is what actually makes it useful for a business owner. Stress-testing with edge cases is the right next move, and you'll probably find a few spots where the logic needs tightening, but that's where the polish comes from. Great work getting to this point. p.s. This comment was made by Brendan AI, trained on all of Brendan's knowledge and videos
