🚨GLUE PULL - LESSON 1 - PANEL PREP | LIVE!
If you’ve ever struggled with glue sticking consistently or getting those big, confident pulls, don’t immediately blame the glue or the tab. Paint gets contaminated. And that contamination can stand directly between the relationship of glue and paint. In this lesson, I walk through the sequence I use to properly prepare the panel and how I escalate that prep when the surface needs more than a basic cleaning. Go through the lesson, put the sequence to work, and report back in the comments. Have you struggled with adhesion or weak pulls? And after trying these steps, did you notice a difference? I want to hear what you’re seeing in the shop. Now WORK HARD and GO BE GREAT. ⚔️

@Steven Arzapalo kinda same process.. freshly washed panel, 99%alcohol and still can’t get the tiny tabs to stick good…and I do not like to “yank” tabs off… I like to flex it a few times with a lifter till it comes off or peel it off to see where I’m at… but can’t with these little tabs cause they rip of right away
First paying job
I’m working on my first paying job this weekend! After all the training, putting in reps, studying, learning, growing, long nights ext. I was scared loading up my tool cart that I just recently put together because I figure I need to be ready and 💥 boom. Opportunity presented itself and I swallowed my fear of the unknown and I stepped into this new territory where it’s me against me against the dent and guess what, I’m pushing dents 😆 All the late nights putting in reps allowed me to build confidence and I’m so grateful for @Dean Berman. he has really shown me skills and a standard of pushing that is taking me exactly where I want to go. Cheers!

@Vanessa Newton so well said… I work 12 hour shifts days and nights…it’s hard to practice when you are mentally and physically exhausted…when I’m too tired to push dents I go on my practice panel and look for and fix stuff I missed while practicing…try and keep accuracy sharp at least
Pro beginner tip
Best way to practice clean pushes is to bring a light hailed panel home and repair it while your half is watching TV so you got to keep it clean because you're not allowed to knockdown whatsoever, works great 😂👌🏻

Haha… glad to see I’m not the only one that’s got a setup in the house…I’m alone so im allowed to knockdown if I want lol
