So much happening with the community these days!! Love seeing everyone going live on Substack and even the most fun - popping on a life and finding other community members hanging out there too! You all are talking about fascinating things (okay, I might be prejudiced but I just love hearing what you all have to say) When you join lives somethings to consider ... Tap the heart button - though I cannot find evidence this works the same as on TikTok (signaling the algorithm) intuitively it seems like it does And commenting - typing in the comments section encourages other to join the chat and helps the hosts feel like the audience is engaged with them. (maybe you don't have to be as chatty as I am most of the time but hopping in and at least saying hello and letting them know you're there and engaged is supportive. Again, this may or may not bring more people to the live but I suspect that it helps over all. ) When you go live, especially with other content creator on Substack - Substack pushes your live to both audience in the app, in the notifications and in the email boxes of subscribers. Did you have all the fun this weekend? Yep, me too! It was productive AND relaxing which is kind of weird, but I like it. This week begins a 21-day Podcast Roadmap Challenge (of sorts) put on by a mentor of mine and the person who introduced me to Skool, Jamie Atkinson. I'll be a team leader for one of the groups - lots of cool prizes have been offered - not sure what those are just yet - but I'm pretty excited for it. At any rate Jamie posted the community members on Telegram for the team leaders last night and I almost fell off the bed when I saw @Vinayak Ramesh will be part of my team!! Let's do this thing!! Today has been one of those "tear it all apart so I can build it back better" days. 😊 I've been completely restructuring the Learn Substack classroom. My goal is simple: I want this space to be snackable. Instead of opening the classroom and feeling like you need to work through a giant course, I want you to be able to pop in, find the one thing you need right now, implement it, and get back to building your publication. Each section is becoming a collection of bite-sized resources focused on one result. Need to set up your publication? 🍪 There's a snack for that. Need to create a profile that encourages people to subscribe? 🍪 There's a snack for that. Need help writing your first post? 🍪 That's coming next. Each "snack" will include just enough to help you get the result: 🎥 A short lesson 🛠️ A tool, template, or checklist ✅ A simple action step 🎉 A clear milestone before you move on Over the next few weeks and months, I'll keep adding more tools, workshops, templates, and little "cookies" to the classroom until it becomes the place you visit whenever you're wondering: "How do I do this on Substack?" ✨ Coming Next...
