From Air Mattresses to a $100 Billion Company The Brian Chesky & Joe Gebbia Story
From Air Mattresses to a $100 Billion Company The Brian Chesky & Joe Gebbia Story Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia started Airbnb in 2007 when they were broke designers living in a small San Francisco apartment and struggling to pay rent. With a big conference in town and hotels sold out, they put air mattresses on their floor, created “Air Bed and Breakfast,” and rented their space to strangers. That simple idea helped them pay rent and showed that people were willing to stay in someone else’s home. Even after early success, investors laughed at them, rejected them, and told them the idea would never work. Getting laughed at by investors is practically a rite of passage for legendary founders. What an incredible story of grit.
From Content to $30K Clients A High Ticket Strategy for Consistent Sales
Description: Many consultants and coaches experience feast-or-famine income, jumping from $10K months to $35K months and then back to zero. This video explains how fear pushes experts to chase low-ticket courses and cheap offers, even though research shows fear-driven decisions lead to safe moves that don’t create real growth. The focus here is on why high-ticket consulting and coaching can stabilize revenue, simplify the business, and deliver more value to the right clients. https://youtu.be/iAZOB0FzAQI

Fear-driven decisions lead to safe moves that stall real growth. Such an important call-out for coaches and consultants.
Believe in Yourself: Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Story
Belief matters most when everything says you should quit. Sylvester Stallone lived that truth when he was broke, nearly homeless, and expecting a baby. With only about $100 left, he wrote the script for Rocky and refused a $360,000 offer because studios wouldn’t let him star in it. To survive, he even sold his dog Butkus for $40. That decision paid off. Rocky won three Academy Awards, launched his career, and gave him the chance to buy his dog back. His story shows that trusting your vision and pushing through rejection can change everything. Get all the PDF summaries here: https://www.skool.com/believenation/classroom

Turning down $360k when you only have $100 in your pocket takes a legendary level of self-belief. Unreal resilience.
Why I Turned Down My Dream Banking Job
Growing up I wanted to be a banker. I loved New York City and thought at some point I'd move there, be a Wall Street investment banker, and do big deals. Then I had the hardest choice of my life when I was graduating: take the six figure banking job or be an entrepreneur. To help me decide I used Jeff Bezos' Regret Minimization Framework - basically you look at your life through the lens of 85 year old you and ask yourself if you're going to regret making this decision now or not. I knew I'd regret not trying to be an entrepreneur. I could always get another investment banking job. It might not be in New York. It might not be with the same bank. But I could get another job. And even if the most likely result of being an entrepreneur was failure, I'd rather know and fail then not know. I never did move to New York City but I still love the energy and the people there. And I'm grateful to these police officers for taking this picture with a wide eyed kid taking in the Big Apple with big dreams. So if you're ever stuck on a hard decision and don't know what to do next... Imagine the 85 year old version of you coming to you from the future to give you some advice today. They'll tell you what to do and that being afraid isn't a good enough reason. Life is too short. You've got this.
