🏆New member onboarding & a great bargain🏆
I wanted to post about a different kind of win. Yesterday, I joined the New member onboarding session with @Jake Van Clief. A great relaxed atmosphere with a really cool group of people all with different types of backgrounds. Jake gave us a walkthrough of all the things you can access via the premium membership. He then answered members' questions and we dived into very interesting topics I did not know about (Astro was one of them). That was a big win in itself. 🏆 The even bigger win was that a group of people stayed on just to chat. @Chandler Dufour kindly started the conversation and lots of cool experiences, funny stories and "ICM shop talk" were shared between everyone. I think the meeting turned into something like over 1 hour and was still going when I had to leave. If you haven't joined Premium I'd encourage you to do so. It's more than worth it. And $11 (€9.83 here) is an absolute bargain for what you get. Plus, you can't put a price tag on meeting cool people. For everyone who joined yesterday: Great to meet you and leave a comment below as I did not click fast enough to follow all of you while on the call. 😄

Claude Science + NotebookLM
These two covering the sourcing and the evals have been paramount for my development. Curious what you guys have used these tools for

@Stephan Vollmer yes 🙌 I use the audio feature to with the “interrupt” feature. Then I can ask a direct question based on my use case and the sources

Claude Cowork instead of Code?
First, thank you @Jake Van Clief and @Bas Rosario for all your hard work and generosity. Reading through this has definitely changed the way I interact with my AI. I'm not a coder or developer, I run several companies and primarily do business development, strategy, and marketing. I live in Claude Cowork as it's portable across devices (I travel a lot for work and don't always carry my laptop). That said, I've built several time/money saving tools with Cursor and Claude Code as well as Antigravity and have a basic understanding of how to use AI. On my machine, I have one top-level folder labeled AI, under which are all my different AI projects, each with its own folder. In the top level there's a Claude.md router which tells Cowork where to go and what to do. Each folder has its own Context.md and other markdown files. I am still building things out, and before I let the agent rummage around I had some thoughts. My questions are: -can I use ICM with Claude Cowork and give it restricted access to my folder structure on my machine? -if you're not coding full-time, but rather designing tools for your companies, is it better to be in Code or Cowork? -does each folder require its own Claude.md file to navigate any subfolders or behave in a certain manner? Again, thanks for all your assistance, this is great stuff.

I'm using voice-to-text, so forgive any grammar mistakes. Claude CoWork is slightly more restricted in terms of what it has access to on your computer (you have to hand hold it). With both Claude CoWork and Claude Code, you can set up certain areas that Claude Agents have access to based on the folder its in where you have it live within a repository or directory. Claude Code and CoWork usually ask permission when it goes outside of the original directory you are in. Said simply, you can use ICM with Claude CoWork and give restricted access. If you're not coding full-time, I recommend using Claude CoWork. It is better to have a Claude.md for a repository, but it's not required for every single file, only for a file with this specific purpose: an agent goes into it with instructions for a task. You then give it context throughout the other folders within that main repository or monorepo. Have you asked your agent about this and asked it to walk it through with you?

@Benjamin Hidalgo Glad you see it The r value is a good way for the agent to easily understand patterns and then communicate them back to the user. Of course the human holds the insight that holds the intuition.
