Terra Madre and Slow Food International
I am one of 35 US delegates attending Terra Madre in two months in Italy. I’ll be attending with my teenage son, an expert forager who works with amazing chefs in Philadelphia where we live and have a young food forest. There will be 800 delegates from 120 countries at Terra Madre plus lots of slow food and food forest enthusiasts, farmers, foragers, cooks, mixologists, community and movement builders. Check it out https://2026.terramadresalonedelgusto.com and happy to connect and discuss. I met Chelsea and am very interested in the work of Shaome. Thank you!

Please let us know how it goes at Terra Madre.
It's LIVE!
The Food Forest Foundations Certification Course is LIVE! Open to all community members, this self-paced course is designed to help you understand how Food Forests work as living systems. You’ll learn the core principles, design logic, and long-term thinking behind successful Food Forests. A certificate is available if you want it — the quiz is not required. Click on the Classroom tab to start learning, start growing, and start building systems that last! Purchasing this course helps us to get seeds in the ground at schools and public spaces across Georgia so that EVERYONE has access to education and resources for growing their own food. Will you help spread the word? Go to Members and click on the Invite button to invite friends and family to purchase this course. Will you help write the chapter that ends hunger in Georgia?

Apple Rust
One of our schools recently experienced Apple Rust on one of their Crabapple trees. It's typically caused by nearby Cedar trees, which are the initial host plant for Apple Rust. You can try this DIY soution: Crushed aspirin mixed with water creating salicylic acid. You can also add a couple of drops of Dawn liquid because it's a surfactant and will help it stick to the leaves.

The Food Security Blueprint is now available!
This book is a practical and visionary roadmap for making food security visible, local, and lasting. It explores how schools, places of worhip, neighborhoods, businesses, campuses, and public spaces can become part of the solution by growing food where people already live, learn, work, and gather. If you’ve ever looked at a piece of land and wondered, “Could this be feeding people?” — this book is for you. Learn more or get your copy here:https://tinyurl.com/thefoodsecurityblueprint
