Five a day is a great target, but if you've only been open a month, that's really early to see sales. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but you have to be patient and stick with it. Etsy most definitely isn't a quick side hustle, it takes time. Show up every day like you are and be patient. It'll happen. Personally I knock the ads on the head. I ran ads for about 6 months when I opened and all profit and then some went on ads. I don't run any now. You need some momentum first before you even think about ads. If you set a daily limit, Etsy will spend all of it. It works by clicks not buys. The only ads I'd consider are offsite ads. You only get charged offsite ad fees when a purchase is made.
