What is your hottest business take?
I made this post yesterday talking about why you should not be afraid to be controvertial. And after some great points from @Alexandra Alexa @Eric William @Gavin Stevens @Aimee Jardon and @Warrick Duncan I think the simple lesson is not being afraid to be outspoken on your hot takes. I believe you should talk about stuff that everyone is talking about and jumping in the hype train to get use of some visibility boosts. But if you do it in the same way, with the same opinions as everyone else you will never stand out. And you problably don't need to think too much about it. If you're passionate about what you're building, you problably have an opinion on what most people are doing differently than what you're doing. Like in my case, I believe most people are either too hyped up about how to use AI, thinking it makes things easier when I see it making a lot of things harder actually. Or they are not using in ways that are creative and innovative enough, they are just copy pasting the same solutions that other influencers tell them to do and putting a wraper on LLMs that replaces prompts for buttons. So I'm trying to do something different. What about you, what is your hot take? What is the thing that you see and do differently than the majority?

too many marketers creating courses on marketing and lead generation. no difference between a coach creating a course on how to create a course and then marking how to create a course. Or like someone running a working on how to run a workshop.

Do you have a milestone you want to achieve?
I do have some. Both on income and membership count. For membership count I want to get to 1000. We just crossed 250 members and are a quarter of the way there. I know that in many cases quality is much more important than quantity and group loose quality when they grow too big. But I don't think this is the case here, because the purpose of Roast & Promote is largely to give exposure to our members, that's why it's a public group. The more we grow the more feedback you can get and the more eyes you get at your promotional posts that you earn competing. That's I also award members who invite others, as you can . Click here to learn more about our competitions and how you can grow by being active and inviting members. What about you? What milestone are you trying to achieve?

10 coaching clients. 3 minimum 5 would work too... but 10 would be ideal.
Roast my Substack
What am I missing? How can I get clearer on my messaging? How do you edit the "about page" on substack? (there is one apparently but I have not found out how to navigate to it) https://substack.com/@christopherbauer4

@Dave Hughes with the character limit - it is mentioned there - the cover of the book is on the about page. see Eliot's comment as it is formatted to his advise.
